how long have you had the rental car? I'm guessing it's while your tC is getting repainted. I have an appointment for mine next week to take care of at least 3 chips on the hood that went down to bare metal; I'm guessing 2 or 3 days, though I booked for 4 just in case.
I picked a Mazda 6 because I wanted something that wasn't GM (there was also a RAV4, but the daily rate was almost double, so I passed on it).
Makes me think of my first time renting a car back in 2006; I was certain I'd get a Malibu, but when I got there, they said it was an '06 Camry. I almost let out a Lil' Jon "OKAAAAY!". That was my first experience with the 2AZ, and it led me to test drive, then buy the tC.
Anyway, hooray for stories. I'm looking forward to Sunday.

I've had the rental for almost 2 weeks and will have it for at least another week. I have rental insurance so I can have a rental for up to 30 days at up to $30 a day paid by insurance. I didn't care what car I got, I just didn't want to pay anything out of pocket.
The reason why it's taking so long was the body shop asked for a supplemental appraisal from my insurance company, but since my original appraisal was done so far away from the body shop that a new appraisal company had to come out for the supplemental which took days for them to get the original one into the system. Even though its taking so long, the body shop (FCR) is fixing it the right way rather than the way insurance wants to do it. Their awesome and when I finally get it back it will be better than it was when I bought it.
X2.
