Default Scion event: Help raise $ for Children's Hospital Boston

Last year as some of you may remember, I had Woburn Scion become one of the sponsors of an annual charity event that my school (Boston College) does, in efforts to raise money for the Franciscan Children's Hospital in Boston. We had a few cars on display outside of the entrance to the event, and raised a few thousand dollars... We had a table inside the event, and gave out swag and Scion brochures.

I am proud to announce that I got BC to agree to have Scion do the event again, this year in conjunction with Tufankjian Scion of Weymouth. My goal this year is to raise a lot more money for the Hospital, and I am going to invite all MA NRG members, Scion owners, friends, family, etc to donate. Even if all you can contribute is $5 or $10, it's all going towards a great cause. And if you all remember, it was featured in TIME Magazine's advertorial for a dealership as well.

The event is one in which all the BC dance groups gather to dance for 24 hours (in shifts) in efforts to raise money for the Children's Hospital. What I did with Scion last year was just have the cars on display outside, give away swag, and of course raise money and submit a large check to the Hospital for the event. This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, March 29th 2008 from noon until midnight (the sponsors leave in the evening usually, so I'd say about 7pm). Along with a donation, if any of you are interested in having your car on display with mine and the dealership/regions car, let me know and I'll see how many spots are available. Help me out with this great cause, I come to all you first because I know you guys all want to contribute towards a great cause!

I will be taking donations over the next few weeks, via check payable to me, paypal (zakis@bc.edu) or cash. I create a seperate account for this fundraiser and combine it with the contribution that the dealerships make. Thanks guys!

last year we had my car and a tC from the region out front, and then a few nrg members showed up as well. its not a car show or anything, it doesnt draw huge crowds so the main part is the donation. im going to ask how many spots they can reserve to have our cars out there, and ill definitely let you know. i want to get as many nrg member cars out there as possible, so as long as they give me spots i dont mind who comes at all, itd be cool

yeah mid-march, i need to submit my check to them about a week before the event, though they arent too strict about that. its just so they can place the scion in a particular sponsorship level (the levels vary according to how much is raised)
