Hello, I was directed to this post because I actually posted the same thing essentially lol.

If someone needs to plan a trip I will be happy too. I just need to know how many people would be interested.

Like I said in another post I made...if we go on one trip and it goes well I have a house 15 minutes from Stratton, VT. It would be awesome to have a group of people up there.

Anyways,

Fill me in with any information I may need...or you may need from me!

As for mountains, I would say Okemo, Mount Snow or Loon. All are fairly close..not the 4+ hours of killington. They all have a snowboard park for us boarders, a pretty good one at that, and have a bunch of windy trails for the skiiers.

and there's my two cents

From okemo? not really sure..probably about 45 minutes. As far as lift tickets go...I thought 72 was about the going rate now...thus why i can't afford to go more than 2 or 3 times a year.. lol

So was Sunapee the other place people would like to go? I know they dont' have a park and if they do it is not very good.

Anyways, I don't really care how many people go anymore just as long as i get up there :-D

I've been to Killington and Pats Peak. Killington was pretty expensive, but when I went to Pats Peak, it was only $29 for rental and lift? I don't know how the heck it was so cheap, but yeah. Looks like Sunapee would be a good place to go. I think the date we picked was Jan 27th.

Mt. Sunapee

Hours of Operation:
8am - 4pm

Sunapee Costs:
Full day lift ticket - $62
Ski/Snowboard Rental - $36

Total is $98
throw in a couple of more dollars for food and such, I'd say you'd need about $120. And if we're carpooling, would probably be nice to give the driver some money, probably $5 per person for gas and such.

I'm down for an overnight thing...but I think if we do that then we should stay up in Vermont at the house. I can't really afford to go snowboarding for 2 days AND pay for a hotel ( nless it's really cheap . We're 15 minutes from Stratton ($129 lift [2 day ticket] / $43[1st day], $36[2nd day] rental).

So the two day boarding w/ rental total would be 208 + food. Expensive...

Opposed to Sunapee( $112[2day lift ticket] / $66[2 day board rental] )

So the total would be $178 + lodging ($20 -$30) so the total would be ~$203 + food.

IMO Stratton is a much better mountain for almost the same cost.

I'm more interested in a day trip to keep it cheaper, but then again I just want to get out.

check that...u only wanna go snowboarding for one day?

Ok I'd rather go on a Saturday / Sunday as I have school Friday nights.

I'm down for Sunapee just to have a good time 110 bucks isn't bad for snowboarding and hotel. I gotta talk to one of my friends he'd definately be intereseted.

So the 27 - 28 sound good to everyone?

1. Seth (menacejean)
2. riceboy
3. tam
4. david

Sorry don't know names

Jan 27th is the set date. Im putting the deposit down tommorow and I wont be getting that money back so I kinda wanna stress that
They need full payment two weeks prior to our arrival (we arrive the 27th so it has to be paid by the 13th) so I'll be needing the money at least by Thursday of next week so I can deposit it and pay for the cottage.
We have 4 Confirmed with a possible +3 guests of a max 7 and a few pending for the cottage I'm reserving.

1. David (Tcknight)
2.Tam (XxTamTxX)
3.Jesse (lriicelboy)
4.Dashon (Cessblood)
5.
6.
7.

If more people are interested in going, but there isnt enough space left, they have have other cottages next to the one Im reserving that have vacancy for the 27th. If you are going to reserve a cottage remember that they need the full payment by the 13th which is next Saturday.

You are not obligated to stay the night guys, dont forget that
This is for those of us that are too lazy to drive back after a day on the slopes
