Default got a speeding ticket last night...

i was being REAL stupid, visiting my friend up by the Palisades, the cop said i was doing 95mph in a 45mph zone, that 55 over the limit so thats 11 points right? and a suspended license? this really sucks, STUPID STUPID STUPID... plead guilty or not? i dont think i was goin 95 but thats wat the cop said...

AT That level your best bet is plead no tguilty and get a lawyer, take it from someone thats been there numerous times, pleading not guilty and goin alone is sealing your fate befor you even get there

yes 11 points is an instant suspension. Make sure everything written on the ticket is correct, if something is wrong (plate number, street name, etc...) you have a shot. gl

i think you should consider yourself lucky. 50 over the limit...i am surprised he didn't haul you in.

and always plead not guilty. they will most likely ;et you plead down to a lower offense.

Damn...that's definately stupid but I was in the same boat as you at one point. Before I got my box I got pulled over doing 90 in a 60...in VA 90 is the cutoff for locking you up if you're doing anything over 90 they haul you in, no questions asked. The dude called in another officer to arrest me but luckily it was my first moving violation ever so they let me go. You've got a few years on me so your insurance company shouldn't rape you as bad as they're bending me over right now.

I'll tell you what everybody has told me over and over again...you should have asked to see the radar!! haha

Yeah, I should have got a lawyer that time I was doing 88 in a 55 about 20 years ago. I ended up needing high risk insurance and didn't know it...never even heard of it. So next time I got pulled over, I got....well....bent over.

Doesn't it make sense to just obey the laws of the road?
Instead of offering up all these lame and pathetic excuses and ways to "beat the system", seems to me that you can avoid all
this by just following the rules.

You'll need this:

and these:

But, all joking aside, I would recommend going with a lawyer. And about the insurance, yeah, you might want to prepare yourself so that you're not too shocked to see your premiums almost double. Good luck
