Hey guys, I have my navi/dvd coming in by the end of next week. I haven't done an install before. I was wandering if it was just plug and play. If anyone could help me out, let me know. Thanks.

 

hey just got mine about a week ago, what exactly do you need to know I am in sac, and have even utilized the override feature so you can watch dvds while in motion, not the easiest of tasks, but let me know how I can help....

 

Well, I've never installed a navi/dvd system before...so I just need to know if it's plug and play. I want to do the bypass too, so I can play dvds while in motion as well.

 

no, its a little more complicated than plug and play because you have to find numerous wires, like ignition, speed sensor, reverse gear input,,,etc...do you have the wiring harness to adapt to the factory speakers of all?

 

I should. Got the kit from Crutchfield. I got all the neccessary wiring harness for the Scion tC. I think my friend can figure it out.

Ya its not to hard if you need anymore help let me know Im pretty good with that electronics junk, the override was a little tricky, but if you need help i can, so just let me know....good luck, be careful its easy to hit the wrong wires, btw, you should just be able to get a harness from your local car audio shop

It got here earlier...got it today. A friend of mine is coming over to help me put it in. Wish us luck.

Okay we got everything connected up nicely. I still need to connect the steering wheel adapter, we couldn't figure out how to connect it. Any help on this?

 

sorry haven't had any experience with removable steering wheels, wish I could help on that one.....
