Anyone from Cali!!!
Does anyone know if it is illegal to clear the corners of your headlights in California. ..........I want to do that but i also dont want to be getting pulled over all the time. I know Cali has some stupid laws on cars so any info would be great...........thanks in advance
I think it's illegal to have clear corners. But you gotta double check with someone else. Just like the window tint on the front windows everyone does it anyways. Just dont make it too noticable.
lol ya I think most things done to your car also varies from chp to chp. One day i got a fix it ticket for my windshield decal. And I talked to a different chp and he said he wouldnt pull anyone over for that.....Thats Cali for ya.....
here we go again, yes it is against the law to clear your corners. you must have the reflectors for both federal and state laws.
This has been asked a few times, Tomas posted the link to the official law awhile back.
but then , everything worth doing is illegal in Ca.

Yep...Not only in CA, but in the US in general! These are in place because of FEDERAL law, not just CA law. But technically, it is illegal to change the headlight bulbs to the bluish colored ones, clear side markers, clear tails, and technically it is illegal to change out the tail lights with those 'altezza' style lights unless it is DOT approved (like the TYC...ours came with a DOT certifation card for that reason) but people still do it.
