Default Had a bit of an issue today... |POSTED PICTURE|

Well put simply I got into an accident today. I was on my way to work, my car made an odd noise, I pulled off at the CHP weigh station, checked the fluids out, let it sit for a bit, then got back onto the freeway, going about 60-65 mph. I am pretty sure I was clipped, and then spun out. To put simply, my car is totalled (well I believe so since all airbags deployed, and I ended up in a ditch).

Luckily I am ok, only minor injuries (bumped head, seems to be only minor bruising). I dont have any pictures as I was put onto a stretcher with a head brace right away.

Sad part is I can't goto work for about 4-5 days. At least that will give me time to get the insurance, GAP protection, and CHP on the same page.

I am about to rest right now, so I won't be able to post anything until probably mid day tomorrow.

Thank you all for your care and consideration.

So the adjuster called, and they told me "it is a total economic loss". I am devastated, as much as I hated my car; I loved it so much more! I damn near cried when they told me that.

If I don't get a scion or toyota, which to be honest, probably wont be a scion or toyota, I will still goto events and meets. I will also still be on here to offer advice when I can.

Thank you to all, and luckily I was not severly injured, which I can only attribute to the extra airbags and the build quality of the car.

Update:

Well the car is paid off now and I have a little bit extra for a down payment. I thank you all for your care and consideration.

Thank you all. Basically I was discharged after they couldn't find any major head injuries, and after they ran a CT scan and EKG.

I am going to call the CHP to find out where my car is and if I can pull any parts. I would need to get my work phone and my iPod most of all since they are in my glove box. I will find out if I can get anything else (the 2 things I would really want, I cant get which are the LSD, and the coilovers). I woke up this morning since I couldn't really sleep. My body is all sore, but I am just happy the airbags did their job and did not burn me!

Since I am at home right now, I will probably be here till the end of the week until I can go back to work. I am definitly not happy this happened, but my g/f and my parents and I are just happy that I am not badly hurt and that I am alive.

you can always buy another tc, or move onto a different car. sounds like you should heal up nicely! remember, everything always happens for the best.

Yes it was rough, and yes it was around 12:30 on calaveras, I was on my way to work from Fremont.

It has been rough on me, both mentally and physically. Not the best thing to have happen on my way to work. Since I am in decent condition, I should not be out of work for more than a week.

They seem to understand at my work so I shouldn't have to worry about that. Thank you again!

EEEKS Bond, so sorry to hear such a bad thing happen to you. Like someone has said already, cars are replaceable & not you. Take care of yourself. I am in bed for being sick for the past week, so I can't do much. If you need anything, you know you can text/call me even though I'm in bed sick. I hope you feel better soon.
