Default Hayward Toyota/Scion: Two thumbs down

My experience today at Hayward Toyota/Scion.

I had a scheduled appointment at 12:40PM to have my rear hatch shocks replaced under warranty. When I arrived a young guy first approach me and then took off to help another customer when I was there first. *wtf?* Anyways he comes back after another associate told him I was first.

So I tell him my rear hatch are blown and actually show him too. I open up the hatch 1/4 of the way no budge, 1/2 way no budge, 3/4 okay the hatch slow starts to open.

He agrees the shocks are blown and the parts will have to be ordered and tells me I have to leave my car at the dealership for 3-4 hours.

I knew that the parts will have to be ordered but I dont see why at that moment I had to leave my car at the dealership for 3-4 hours, so asked the kid explain himself.

He told me that a Certified Toyota Technician has to inspect the part to see if the part is defective.

I then asked him nicely if he could just quickly grab a tech. to confirm the shocks were blown and that I insisted it wont take 3-4 hours b/c it only took us 40 seconds to diagnose the problem was the blown shocks.

He replies saying that I must leave my car here for 3-4 hours b/c the techs are busy.

I told him fine but I actually wanted to go speak with his manager. While waiting inside for the manager he comes into the room and says "Sir it will take us a couple of hours just to do the paper work." He was ignored by now, obviously he is making ____ up and I wouldn't wait a couple of hours just to do paper work and I could sense a fear in his voice, as if he did something wrong.

Long story short I showed the manager my hatch. And told him his associate is ridiculous. He told me to get the parts order under warranty within 5 mins of talking with him. And he wanted to know who it was who told me to wait 3-4 hours.

Afterwards talking to my friend. He tells me that jerkoff probably wanted to joyride my car. It all makes sense to me now.

Cliffs:
-Scheduled an appointment at hayward toyota to have my rear hatch shocked replaced
-The retard associate told me I must leave my car there for 3-4 hours to have inspected by a tech
-Talked to manager the retard got scared
-Shocks were ordered after briefly talking to the manager
- My friend suggested that he wanted to joyride my car.

DONT GO TO HAYWARD TOYOTA/SCION

omg well where to begin. Toyota was in a rush to close down cause we had just purchased a rav 4 and it was about 6 already. they pushed forms in our faces like we were carts. ended up being that 5 yrs later that the papers forced upon us were lease forms. they ended up taking the rav 4 back! F**K YOU HAYWARD TOY!

Piercey, Stevens Creek, and Palo Alto are my top 3 dealers. All other dealerships just don't come close.

Actually Piercey kinda sucks too. Don't buy any parts from them. They'll get it wrong 4 times in a row... Yes you heard me. Messed up 4 times. And I had to order them too, so it took me about 2 weeks to get ONE correct part.

a 4runner fender flare. I told the guy theres a serial for the part on the piece that broke. The idiot responded "It's not that easy." Turns out, it was very much that easy. I guess I had bad timing as he was the only worker there every time I went... I pretty much received every possible 4runner fender flare made for a 1998... Yeah, it sucked. Luckily my 4th visit had a different guy.

Back to Hayward Toyota. Looking at the link above, It just makes me sad to know a Toyota dealership would do that...

wow mikes actually posting. .lol..

anyway sorry to hear about all your stuff guys..
i trust Magneussens (Palo Alto) and Stevens Creek as my two places. I havent dealt with Hayward but that shure sounds shady. and dont even get me about capitol... they were trying to make me sign papers just to see if they had any SWs in stock! let alone try to convince me that i wanted something else... not cool not cool at all.

Im going to stevens creek tom!

Hayward still hasn't called me back saying the shocks were in and ready to be installed. Usually it doesn't take this long to get the parts.

City?? That's another crappy place to be at. Guess one time doesn't count so much yet. So far, all i've heard about City is their employees . . ____ty ones too!
