have you looked at the instructions? not very tough, no special tools required. you'd probably have more lucky posting in your regional subforum.

Its really not very bad. I did it for the first time not too long ago. I have very little experience working with tools in general, much less on cars. I did it though and only took me about 1-2 hours.

It's really not that hard, I put mine in in about 45 minutes. It's really a pretty straitforward install, hard to screw it up. If you have even a basic knowledge of hand tools, then it shouldn't be a problem. Good Luck!!

i'm in san jose.

i've done plenty short shifter installs.. i did mine in like 20 minutes start to finish

it doesn't take long.. as long as there's nothing that gets caught or holds me back a little..

just go into the install with brute force and determination and the job'll get done quick... and of course still in a high quality, professional fashion

i guess the real key is having the right tools.

i need your guys' opinions...i love the drop of the TWM Stage 2 but i've heard about the iffy shifting. then there's the cc one which is really cheap and a decent drop but i'm also a firm believer of you get what you pay for. so i ask, TWM or CC? i don't want to keep having to repair or do mods to the ss after installation. thanks for the help.

In the long run, i think it's pretty hard for a company to screw up a s/s unless they make it out of plastic. I have the CC and I absolutely love it, and reccomend it 110%. For the price and quality I don't think it can be beat.

hmm.. for a full custom make on your specs... I have seen Doc I make his short shifters (out of the stock ones) in person.

he does a wonderful job and honestly can't find a much better deal than his stuff. i have the TWM stage II myself, but i bought it prior to Doc I starting to DIY his own for sale.

i would definitely look into that as well.

I'm also a big fan Doc I's stuff. If I had to do it over again I'd go with Doc I's short shifter instead of the B&M. You should do the whole package that Doc offers; I've done all the parts (before Doc had his) and my shifting is rock solid. None of that "squishiness" of stock. Don't forget to get a Doc I shift **** and ebrake cover!! All made to order with your preferred specs!!!!!

This a pic of his 'nismo' style with slightly wider diameter plus the ebrake cover...
