Just a mental note;

If anyone is showing inside, have an escape route planned from the park. You don't want to end up like the folks at the San Jose show with the cops seizing vehicles at the end of the night. I don't know exactly how SJPD caught everyone from the San Jose show but just know the surface roads until you can get to the freeway.

It sucks they got that one guy's Skyline. He probably still hasn't gotten it back.

just wait till everyone clears out... stay till about like 2 am somewhere.. go somewhere to eat. and when their done giving tickets the head home. hahaha thats the easiest way of not getting caught i guess...

 

At least the freeway isn't to far.....6-7 blocks for a straight shot to 280 south. 5 blocks up second St to the entrance for the East bay.....

Hey were they giving tickets cause people had mods or what? If that's the case I will be fine, no mods yet. I'm trying to get mods before the show.

 

It depends on the mods, If your car looks like a street racer they might pull you over. I had 4 or 5 cops drive past me to go after Hondas that night.

 

what?? they probably just saw that you were evildave and went "we cant pull him over." hahahaha then they went after the asian in the honda.

just drive normally and dont be stupid and rev the engine and stuff like that. take it easy and drive like nothings wrong. they cant get you for that.

 

Well, apparantly from the CHP website, if they see that you have a muffler that doesn't look stock i.e. big giant tip, loud noise, etc. that is probable cause to pull you over and ticket you for the noise. At that point, since it would be at HIN, they would probably ticket you also for a part that doesn't meet smog if you don't have a CARB sticker or number for the muffler.

Then I guess they'll ask you to open your hood because I would assume they would have a trained and certified auto inspector, especially at HIN.

 

hope to see people there, Team Redefined will be there including my car, just for team representation too. But I plan to have more mods by then.

 

I was followed very closely for about a min by a CHP motorcycle on 880 going to San Jose. He left me alone though, my exhaust is not to noisy at hogh speeds.
