Default Lip kit painted/installed costs?

I'm looking to get the RS1 lip kit for my BSP tC, but how much does it usually cost to get it painted and installed at a body shop? I'm guessing there will be a very large range in prices, and from what I've read it'll cost more than the kit itself. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Just get it painted from a shop, installing is an ease. A lot of people might not agree with me on this, but i'd say get like the cheapest paint job, reason being the lip is going to get scratched up and hit my gravel and what knot, especially if your car is slammed there is going to be scraping..... or maybe thats just me

I don't know if I would be able to make the install myself, if it involves drilling holes or something like that I'll probably just pay to get it installed.

if you feel comfortable that way than that may be the best choice, but the install is drill 2 holes on each side, screw, and put double sided tape where the lower grille and lip touch and your fine

I'm on the same boat as you, I bought rs1 ABS lip kit (whole set) and planned to paint and install by myself but didn't have time to do that, so I asked the shop in burlingame and guess what, the guy said 600 for painting and installing. I don't think it's a cheapest price, u might find a shop who can do it for around $300 (paint only) but yea it will cost same or more than what the lip kit costs. I don't know if I wanna keep this lip kit or not, if u wanna buy them from me just let me know.

Ouch, $600 is pretty hard to swallow, but I guess in the back of my mind I was expecting a number around there. Kinda makes me think a bit harder whether or not to get the lip kit.

check out "dakine" he painted his RS1 kit himself and it is flawless. You can PM to ask for a price, if he has time to paint another kit.

Dang man . . I've got the RS1 lip kit (FRNT and REAR) for the longest time and it's collecting dust!!! LoLz . . but man it looks REALLY nice on the tC though. Thanks for the pics.

QUESTION IS: Will the rear umm . . melt?? Because I have an exhaust and it gets HOT . . of course it does!! DUH me!! LoLz . . . that's like the only thing I'm afraid of. Dont' have the side skirts yet! Gonna get it though. Just haven't had time to save up and stuff. Eh . . any more pics guys who has this lip kit on their tCs??? Pls???

I;m on the same boat. I want to buy the lip, but i want it painted and possibly install it myself, but probably will get scared and ask someone else to drill the holes.

hey jamessicat15, is that the total price you paid for the kit and painted? if so, where'd you get it?

Default rs-1 painting cost.

I recently got several prices to have my lip kit painted. $400.00 to $600.00!!!! There is a vocational school in my area that has an auto body class that will paint it for only the cost of the paint $125.00.
