i tired to help my freind install them, it was pointless..........we gave up and used lens paint to paint them, i tried pretty much everything. My problem with them is that they are cut to the size of the light, they should be cut larger so you dont get the creases, then use a razor blade to trim the excess.
good luck
good luck
thats what i was thinking. if it were bigger you could just streach it over the taillight and trim the excess but i did get one of them to look ok so i guess i can work, just not by me. lol.

which is better btw.... it's specific for the car.
anyway... i'm in san jose... about 2 hr drive i guess?
which isn't that far for me.. cause i just came back from LA like 2 hours ago.
(gas prices and expenditure still suck though)

damn i really do need to make a sn of my own instead of using my gf's all the time.
i did read that thread a couple of times before tring it again and it helped A LOT but i still didn't get it right. i might have to pay you a visit one if these days. how long did it take for you to do your overlays?

i don't have overlays myself.. but i've installed them on my buddies' cars.... the first time was tricky.. and i think i want to fix it, but we don't care much to do that now
and then a few others i've done that look better. along with some help in applying vinyl.
i just make sure to use alot of water that has a small amount of soap in it. and then a heat gun to warm it up so it's flexible to play with.
most bubbles are easy to get rid off, but for the most part... a sharp needle can get rid of those tricky ones.
and water bubbles are ok.. air bubbles on the other hand.... you don't want.... so yeah... i make a mess with that mildly soapy water.
that's about it.

thats what i was thinking about doing but i figured it woudl be too hard to get the right shade on both taillights. then i'd have to clear coat it. and if you mess up you can't go back.
actually u don't need to clearcoat. the clearcoat is mixed in already. the hardest part is to get the back of ur car covered (if ur lazy like me and don't want to remove the tailights.) spraying is eazy. as long as u spray evenly when it dries it will look exactly the same. jus remember to spray in thin coats until its evenly covered. too much and u'll have runs. had mine done in 1 hour. 45 min. for the prep and 15 to paint. oh almos forgot, give ur tailights a good rub down wif rubbing alcohol first.
not to threadjack or anything, but SquallLHeart, i think i talk to you about the overlays over in the other thread, will you help me put on the tc tail light overlay? u do it for free right?
