I'm looking into getting some overlays for my car soon, i'm also going to get 20% tint all around. What's the chances the cops are going to pull me over? I live in san jose and I see alot of civics and what not's all around with dark tailights. The last thing I want is them popping my hood and seeing the INJEN though I hate being in CA... but then again, I love CA Thx for the help

 

20% on the front is a bit too dark
I would recommend no darker than 35%

 

i have 50 pecent tint in the front and injen intake too. i also have the 3rd brakelight overlay and whenever i drive by cops they don't take notice. I'm not sure how they'll react about the tailight's though but i always wanted to get them as well

 

I had my windows tinted 20% all around. I got pulled over once, the officer put the little tint machine on my window, and it came out to be 18%. He told me this is illegal, have a nice day and left haha no ticket just told me its illegal!

Well I've notice that cops in SF arent that worried about window tints.
