Default Photo Opt: Where are the best places? (Pacific Mid)*updated*

Hey you guys!I just got my tC couple weeks ago. I want to find a great locations (in and around the bay area, CA) where you can take photos of your car with great background. There is a couple places I already wanted to take pictures with:

- Golden Gate Bridge
- Gizzly Peaks (Great for night with city lights as BG, I'll post pics of my friend's Celica GTS later with this place)
- Altamont Pass Great for pictures with wind power generators in the background on a beautiful day.

- Alameda Naval Base - Trying to get instructions for this place too!
- Great Mall, Parking Garage (Page 1[tC] & 2[xb])
- Treasure Island Great View of the Bay!
- Union Point Park, Oakland Nice waterside pictures near Alameda. (Check out Page 2)
- Discovery Bay At the Marina Nice waterfront pictures! (Page 2)
- Old Buildings by Ohlone College - Fremont (Page 2)
- Stanford Mall - Structure (Page 2)

If you guys know other great spots (include an address and/or directions, and maybe even a pic of the place) or know instructions on how to get to tracy's field of wind power generators from the Hayward/Union City Area please give me a reply on this thread.

I was also of thinking of making a mini meet out of this where we all just meet up at certain locations and drive and take pics... What do you think? You may contact me anyway you can through my contacts

Gizzly Peaks - Here is pics of the gizzly peaks area with my friend's Celica GTS (Yes, I took these pics)

Alameda Naval Base - My friend's Celica meet I will also try to get instructions to get here too unless someone can help me with this. (I didn't take these pics)

i took a picture from that same spot when i drove to cali. i would also say, the (bay area bridge?) by the wharf and the winding road works well. then go for a drive to the ocean and take one there by the mansion looking thing (was in american wedding)
also taking a pic w/ a trolley in the background wouldnt be bad

Hey EVILDAVE, Thanks for the PhotoSpot. Is it possible for you to post some thumbs of the location? I want to see it before I go since I live 1.0-1.5 hrs from Tracy.

Also Stylis thanks for the tip. But how do I contact him?

ucyib2papi you said winding road you probably met Lombard LOL. And the other i think is maybe Fisherman's Wharf I haven't even really been there even though I'm a local LOL. Palace of Fine Arts is where lots of weddings pics are taken there you might mean that... iono if it looks like a masion or you meant something else.

As some people see if my icon a new pic, I thought I might as well mention this picture has been taken in a empty parking garage. You can play around with the exposure and use a tiny bit of photoshop and this is the outcome V

Currently using that pic as my sign in NewCelica.org also.

bored sooo I'm post more pictures from that one photoshoot I did last time with my friends in the garage. We had no choice but to take it in the garage since it was pouring outside.

What camera are you using and what lens?it looks like the ISO speed is a little higher for the application?it looks a little noisy but other than that it looks great.

Thanks, ISO 50 actually so the tripod is a must... the only reason there is noise is because I use the "sharpen" filter twice to make the picture look really sharp.
