Default Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod Adapter

bought a Pioneer CD-IB100 iPod Adapter from Best Buy McCarthy for only $119. had the guys at Best Buy install it on my '05 tC single CD unit. after taking out the stereo, the Best Buy crew found out that i still need an adapter of some sort to connect the IP-BUS input cable coming from the CD-IB100 to the head unit.

tried searching on www.pie.net for that certain adapter but to no avail. i'll try emailling them as well but any suggestions would be appreciated. according to the Best Buy crew, it shouldn't cost no more than $40.

please help.

it does say on the Best Buy site that the CD-IB100 is compatible to the stock 05 HU unless the info is wrong. the Best Buy crew did say it'll work, it just needs that plug adapter for the IP-BUS cable and the HU.

There are two ways for you use your ipod in your stereo:

1. I know PAC audio makes a auxilary input on factory headunits, pricewise im not sure how much and availability is always on stock. Or if your TC is an '06 i think there is a port for aux that takes 2.5 jack. AUX sounds okay on ipods you dont get the full digital sound out of it in my opinion.

2. Return the CD-IB100, ill knock off 19.99 off that price and get a aftermarket HU. Only pioneer headunits with the P-bus adapter will work with your ipod adpater. the new pioneer HU's have sweet IPOD integration, im talking about almost as easy that a caveman can do it!!! my boss always give discounts on referals and SL'ers. let me know if your interested

The guys at best buy dont really know what they are talking about. its a retail "i teach you this" from the computer and not reading or doing the research. it ____es me off that they only sell you a product and not knowing what the item is capable of, compatible with etc. the ib100 will fully integrate with any pioneer headunit, it will charge your ipod at the same time and VIOLA!!!digital music through your speakers!!! for an example a deh-p6800 with the ib100 ill do that for 350.
