kinda confuse on the question.. if you want the door to close then search cause theres a thread on SL about this, plus shows you how to install and everything.

I think you just drill a hole on each bracket so that the unit sit a little further back? install shouldn't be to hard. Just use the nice red SEARCH button on the top of the screen.

 

Oh. I am talking about tCover.net and installing a D3. Like who can do it for me, and how much will it cost to get the tCover installed along with the D3. Any local shop, or anyone here on SL has done these two installation before?

 

tCover is a _____ to install! I dont know any local shops that have installed it besides Gabe at precisionmuffler but he told me he will not do it again.

 

i can do the d3. not so much the tcvoer tho.. for the same reason that gabe didnt. lol. check squall he might be up to it.

 

i can do both... i've done at least 2 tCover installs that i can recall....

a pretty time consuming process.... not hard.. just.. ALOT of time needed...

it's something that... with my current schedule.. will be a tough time to be able to get to... we'll need 3 hours at least...

and that's just for the tCover.

 

I can vouch for the time needed for the install. The creator of the tCover did mine and it took him over 2 hours at his house to complete. He said he was moving out of CA so no more installs by him. And FYI, tCover doesn't take up any extra space preventing you from installing any HU. I have one and had the D3. D3 sucked so now I have Kenwood, but that's another thread for another day. Trung's da man, he'll take care of you.

 

i already have a ipod AUX in my tC. Do I need another one for the D3? or can I use my old ipod aux. Also do I need any thing else like kit or wire harness I have to besides just purchasing the d3 to get it installed?

 

you aren't going to be able to save your factory iPod connection for your D3

you'll need a wire harness at the very least for the install.

where did u buy the D3 from?

 

you can purchse the wire harness at bestbuy or circuit city. or you could wire it directly to your cars harness by cutting the one thats already there (highly not recommended).

 

yeah.. that just kinda makes the install a bit more tough and also more inconvenient if you try to bring it back to stock..

harnesses can be bought anywhere you can buy car audio stuff..

 

I got my D3 from ebay for $620 shipped. Thanks squall for all your help.

 

the iPod cable for the D3 is about $40.00 and its also made by pioneer.
