No, sorry bro. I just stopped by to pay my respects. This was where it all began for me. While it hasn't been announced, and I'm not the one to make the announcement, I needed to raise my glass in due respect.

It started here, then to the parking lots, restaurants, then to their home... good times with our Scions and beyond. We all came to a meet and left with some Friends for a lifetime.

Now, I raise a glass to a friend that kept it all real, an example of a person who lived a well balanced life.... You will be greatly missed....

Ok, so here it is. The reason I came back and started such a cryptic thread. Na'im a.k.a. "Xb ey" has been injured.

Saturday Morning a plank owner and one of the original "OG's" fell victim to gun violence in Tracy California at Amore's restaurant.

Story follow-up here.

Na'im was one of the very first people to welcome me off the internet and to my first in-person meet at Monkey's Cafe.

From that day forward, he accepted me for who and what I am and I did my very best to stay off of his siht list. This friendship was still in place when I left California for a job in Arizona. And subsequently returned. He gave me a job, no questions asked.

When the outings with the Scion clubs began to lessen, the parties began moving to Tracy. There are more than a few of us who have thrown up in or somewhere in the near vicinity around his house! Bubble Lounge, Hustler's, Chili's, Centerfold's, San Francisco, Richmond, East Bay, West Bay, Oakland, Walnut Creek, hotel parties or party buses... "where" to party didn't matter as much as "when". (Halloween, omg)

House parties, DJ's in the living room, taco trucks parked on the lawns serving all you can eat! Kegs, Belvedere and tonics, vodka w/ Hypnotiq (haha, who got a blue tongue?!?), Pink Tiara's, taquila with lime and Squirt with a salted rim (dahm those messed me up!) Paquiao tearing opponents up on the big screens! Boxing, MMA, even a sunny day was reason enough to fire up that grill and get down with good folks and plenty of laughs.

Na'im, you are a leader among men, not because you commanded it, but because you are real and at the same time, charismatic. You were once my boss when I worked for you in San Mateo, and on special events. But we were friends first, and in the end, I speak of you with the deepest respect and am humbled in knowing that no words I could ever put down by myself would ever do you justice.

It is with this in mind that I ask those that knew you and who's lives were touched by this man to share, if you like. Share a thought, share a story, maybe share a picture?

You shared a life with us, you shared your family. You opened your home. You showed me what a father does for his family. What it means to be a friend.

You leave behind your family, you leave behind your friends. But most of all, you leave behind a small piece of yourself with everyone who has ever met you.

I am better for knowing you.

And for this I thank you. Rest well Brother Na'im.

That was perfect Chris, Na'im was a one of a kind. I can honestly say from my heart that he was someone that I looked up to. He was the most honorable men I ever met.If you were his friend you knew it. He was always there for any of us if we needed him . Yes the man knew how to through one hell of a party.

You will be very missed my friend!
Everyone please have a drink in honor of our friend.

At 12:30 am this morning Na'im passed.

I got the message this morning, literally stopped traffic on the way to work. It's been 4 years since I've left the bay this month, and I never forget everyone who made my time in NorCal such an important part of my life.

Na'im and his family were a tremendous part of that, from the day I met him in a Krispy Kreme parking lot to the day I left my second family behind to come back to my first here in Texas he was always a man I looked up to. He never got in your face about an issue, never tried to force, he simply demonstrated by example. Always willing to lend a hand or give advice if asked for, always welcoming us into his home (for get togethers I still brag about to this day). There are no end to wonderful things that can be said about this man, and innumerable wonderful memories I'm sure we all have of him.

But I will leave it at this, let it be said we have lost one of the best. As I spend my time on this earth making myself a better person, I will consider it a blessing if I become half the gentleman that Na'im was with all of us. My heart, my thoughts and my prayers to the family. God speed old friend, you will be missed

(Here are pics of one of the greatest men I ever met)

I got the call from doctorcue yesterday and it broke my heart. I was in modesto yesterday at a family function and couldn't leave. Even then, I don't think I would have handled it well; I think I would have just lost it. That's how much this person was in my life. The moment me and scionjohn met him, we clicked like we knew each other for years!

He was the guy I was always looking out for when I arrived to a meet. Whenever I was pushed to meets, "come on just go, Na'im is going." dam they got me, I'm going. He welcomed me into his family as I did with him. If he asked I never hesitated, he was a true friend. That picture battle that mark and I had was just to show how involved Na'im was with everyone and for fun. His wife and kids are mirror images of the man we all love and I couldn't have seen a happier family. Oh and by the way, that OG knew how to dress! Was he sponsored by the men's warehouse? All in all Na'I'm was a great man, great friend, great father.

I miss you Na'im, your family has my condolences.

Note: Please keep me informed of any funeral arrangements and or help to the family that I can take care of. Janet, My family is here for you. I have contacted everyone that have been mia for a bit of this horrible loss. I just got off the phone with big don.

This was my friend that I knew and loved.
