wassup san jose i just moved up here from corpus christi trying to find some scion tuners out here and found this thread. you guys meet up where?

 

welcome man, haha imma be going back to SD for school pretty soon, but the meets are at the wingstop off the coleman exit near the SJ airport, im not quite sure of the time, I haven't been out to the meets for awhile

 

Yeah, right in the Target parking lot. Wednesday nights from like 6-10 or so. I usually try to show up around 7ish and leave around 9-9:30.

just got my exhaust installed today so ill be out this wednesday!

Nobody showed oh well. Well, I was there until about 8 and nobody came except for Mom and Pops who were there to eat.

And I called Dray and LCT to let them know.

And Wingstop and Panera and most of the rest of the shopping center was closed except for Target and Chevy's.

im a new scion owner, new to the tuner world and new to this forum...

i came across this post tonight and im very interested in coming by to one of these meets ...so i can meet some other scion owners...because there is virtually none that i know of around my area...

question tho...is the meet happening this coming wed?

 

Meet is every Wednesday unless a whole bunch of people decide not to show. It's usually good to have a few good contacts that way you don't have to travel out in the cold and notice no one is out or very few show up. I for one live in Alameda, so I'm not a good contact. Most of the guys on here are good contacts 'cause they're usually there.

It's off Coleman. Parking is near Target, Wingstop, Chevy's, Panera. Everyone usually parks down the row where it says Pharmacy on Target. I believe everyone usually meets between 6pm-7pm

Just FYI, there's also a meet every Fri night at Daly City. That might be a tiny bit closer to you. It's mostly scikotics but they're open to all. It's in the parking lot at the Daly City Starbucks off Gellert Blvd. (between serramonte and hickey blvd). Meet starts around 7-8 goes until 12 or so. Everyone usually goes to Denny's or the Legion of Honor in SF or other random places. Depends on the weather.

hmmm.... other meets occur less frequently - there's a meet at the sonics in tracy every other friday but I dunno when the next one is.

For a general car meet, every sunday at the Denny's / Starbucks at the corner of Lawrence and El Camino, there's a big general car meet. Don't stay after midnight because that's usually when the stupidity starts. burnouts, drag racing, drifting attempts, etc. Before midnight is fairly chill if rather loud. And it attracts cops so don't have anything really obvious and illegal on your ride.

And I think that exhausts my knowledge of the scion scene in the san jose / bay area.

I'm sure others can chime in with more info.
