Default SONUVAB!+CH my xbox RROD

Goddamit. My xbox 360 red ringed. I guess it was pretty freaking hot today. Dang it.... Anyone know how to fix the damn thing? I heard if you send it into Microsoft, that just stick an extra heat sink in but don' actually fix the problem and also, that the replacements they send can RROD also... Any ideas? Anyone know how to fix these things?

Yeah its pretty easy to fix most rrod are just cause by slight heat warping which makes the ____y contact points "snap" loose soldering gun and 15mins and its fix

did you check your warranty on the xobx? I had the same thing happen to me. Microsoft extended warranty to those boxes who get RROD. I just called in and had mine replaced. Pretty painless

I've heard horror stories where it take 4 weeks to get your replacement - the replacement comes already RROD'd. You send the replacement to get replaced. Another 4 weeks. They got their original 360 back from MS. Their "repaired" 360 RRODs again 1 week later.

I've gone through 2 broken 360's. My last one was the halo edition and broken within a year and a half. It was 1 red ring, which was also a hardware failure but I called microsoft and they would not warrant it! It said it would cost me $100 for their hardware failure. They also said that if it was 3 red rings they would cover it but not one. Being pretty ____ed I brought it to a repair shop in San Jose which boosted my laser, fan, and did the x-clamps on my 360. It worked awhile and then suddenly my graphics went all back and I kept on getting the red ring again. After being extremely fed up I went back to the shop who does my work for me because they also specialize in swapping out systems. I bought a 360 pro, they opened it carefully swapped the insides of the new 360 pro into my halo edition and put the halo edition into the pro and carefully sealed it. I returned the pro with no problem and got practically a brand new 360 for $25. Part of me feels guilty but the placed I bought it from has a 90 return guarantee for 360 is anything is wrong, so if anyone bought it they could easily get it replaced. I know it's illegal and whatnot but if you get fed up and decide to go this route, just PM me.

Probably better off getting a new one. Might cost as much as a used/new PSP if you have it repair.

This happened to my X360 a few months back & i ended up sending it to Microsoft it only took about 5-7 days & they even gave me the updated chip set plus my 360 was Flashed & they had no probs what so ever when it came to fixing the RROD it was about $14.00 to ship it...

Best of luck ;)
