Default Stop! Thief!!

Well, an interesting morning here at Stevens Creek Scion....
One of our new tc's had all 4 wheels stolen last night.
Right here, on the lot! Some-one has really big nuts, and no respect for
a shop that always trys to do as much as possible for our customers.
The only thing I'll give them credit for is... at least they put the car
on top of something. Not just dump it on the ground.
That's about $2,700.00 of tires, wheels, and sensors!
Thank you very much dead-beat!
That's twice in less than 48hrs I've seen reasons to not trust people in general.
To all our regulars here... Thanks for being who, and how, you are :D .

ya that would suck. i'm surprised they'd be able to get away with something like that without someone else seeing it.

Well hell, I had no idea that people tried to steal cars/stuff from cars that were on a lot! It's bad enough when people break into cars at home or in parking lots, but whoever did this has a lot of nerve! And probably a lot of help, I'd imagine it probably takes a lot of time to remove all four tires just by yourself, even if you know what you're doing.

Sorry to hear that Dave. Yeah, i've heard of this kind of "theft" before. Sadly, it's done quick and a lot of time get away with it. I think implementing cameras would deter many thieves though. Not 100% but hey, if it helps lower the rate . . whynot right?

Do you mean they stole a set of stock alloy wheels? Or a set of TRD / aftermarket wheels?

Even when there is surveillance video, it's usually of pretty terrible quality. Yeah, no jobs at Steven's Creek for lot techs - there's already two and Trung's one of them.

Wow - that blows! But maybe a cheap wakeup call to install cameras!

BTW, what kind of tires/wheels are on the lot for $2700?
No wheel locks?
