Default Ticket

I got pulled over on Tuesday for an illegal U-turn. The officer then asked me if I bought the car with the tint or aftermaket. I said I bought it like that. I got a TICKET for the U-turn, but not for the tint. It sucks...I never get a warning. 2 cars did it in front of me and he pulls me over. I didn't know you couldn't make one there.

Is there a way to make the ticket not valid if some things were filled out wrong or not filled out on the ticket??

He did not comment on my lack of a front plate. I put it on again though.

Sorry i have not been to any meets lately. Hope to be going to Jtown and to some meets soon.

if there was incorrect information filled out by the officer such as color of your car or anything else you can prove you should be able to get the ticket dismissed.

^thats one thing, also if you challenge him, he'll most likely not show; cops dont waste their time on challenging tix. also take a pic of the intersection (that is, if there's no/a VERY obscure no u turn sign.)

lucky he didnt go thru that whole 'ur car is modified, lemme open it all up' thing tho.

sucks w/the tik, hopefully u dont hav to pay

search google for 'avoiding a ticket' , i think enjoythedrive.com may have some answers...

Will this ticket raise your insurance? If not then I say show up to court. If the cop isn't there then you should be good to go. If it does raise your insurance then just pay it. But when you pay it make the check out for $1 more than the fine. The state will mail you a refund check for that $1. Just throw it away. They can't close the ticket file until the refund check has been cashed. And if they never close the ticket file then it will never hit your insurance account. That is a trick that worked on the East coast. I'm not sure if it works in Cali or not though. Worth a try if you ask me.

actually. they get paid overtime to show up in court. the way to win a ticket is to use written declaration. the cop DOES NOT get paid ANYTHING to sit down and write out another unnecessary piece of paperwork.
