Default Tint questions...

anyone here in california get in trouble with a 5% rear 35% or 20% front tint?

and also...(this might be a touchy subject) does anyone know of any scions getting stolen? (i didnt want to post 2 new threads). as far as this question, its more of a confidence thing. i dont have room in my garage and i want to know how safe it is to be out in the open.

Damn man, those pictures hurt.

Well here's mine, and yeah, I've gotten hassled a lot by local cops and chp. Everytime I get pulled over they ask me to raise my windows.

I had the stock tint that the box came with, then I had them lay 5% all the way around. If you look through the windshield, you can see the front passenger window rolled down.

Tinting your fronts looks great, but honestly...when it's night time, and it's raining, it's not always the easiest to see the person next to you. (I hate rolling my window down just to make a left turn when it's raining at night.)

on my new one I had my buddy lay 5% over the rears and 20% in the fronts and I have had no problems so far (knock on wood). As far as being asked to roll my windows up I would tell them hell no there is no reason for you to do that.

I have 2% all the way around except the two fronts, but they too will be tinted the same way soon. I tint my own glass and keep a few spares rolled up in case I have to pull some tint off, if so, I just pull the box in the garage and re-tint .

But it is anoying at night, when it's raining and have to roll down the windows just to see if your going to hit something or someone.

I was thinking about tinting, but i realized, after 2 fix-it tickets, that it's not worth it being hassled by the cops everytime I go out. So I'm keeping everything stockish. The only thing that stands out on my car is my exhaust.
