Default Tinted Boxes around the Bay Area?

Just want some help from the local box drivers around the Bay Area. Tell me what you know about tinting the back windows to 100% (limo tint) and dealing with local law enforcement. Will they pull me over with full tint in the back if everything else is stock? And where did you get tinting done within a couple miles of San Francisco or in the city proper?

My box just got washed and wax-as-u-dry'd and needs to have the back end darkened a bit. My first modification....so it begins...

Cheers, Alan

it's not illegal to paint your back windows so you can't even see out the back of it anymore as long as you have your side mirrors..

and common misconception... 100% means light passes thru completely.. as in there's probably nothing there.

typical limo tint is 5%... (numbers go by how much light goes thru.. )

you can have your back windows as dark as you want.. as long as your front ones are left alone.. which is what it says in the book.

I see, so the aim should be a lower percentage number...ok, now what reputable tint shops are there in San Francisco?

OK here's an update: got the 5% tint on the rear seven windows and it looks much better! Really sweet, Auto Tech did a good job in about an hour, 225 out the door with a lifetime warranty. Easy to work with, good stuff. Now in a day or two I can roll the windows up and down again This really makes the car look better, yet will take some getting used to turning without having clear windows back there.

Thanks for the help!

No sorry. I was going to take the black tape off of the window frames, but I like how everything is pretty much black.
