Default Traffic Violation in Newark (Video)

I received a letter in the mail from the Newark PD with pictures of me. This was a traffic violation at the intersection of Cedar Blvd and Mowry Ave (close to NewPark Mall) in Newark. They even had a video, so I thought I'd share. Guess what I did wrong...

I knew it was coming...I turned and saw the flashes and I was like F(*&#(*!!! Maybe if I would have driven a little faster, the camera wouldn't have caught me, lol (yeah right). I didn't slow down cause I have coilovers and I like hugging corners. But that's a $361 turn right there.

I'm accepting donations.

They have the postings for " Photo enforced" at all the border crossings, meaning all of the places you change between cities.

Watch the intersection of Fremont Blvd and Auto Mall, thats another place that catches alot of people.

( and just a hint, if your doing more than 50 mph, the pics don't come out clear enough to see who you are.)

Doh! Go to court dressed like a bum and they'll prob lower the fine. Explain to them that you just dropped $1K on a new Pioneer AVIC-D3 and this ticket just isn't in the budget right now. =)

lol, I thought about going to court. I was going to tell them that I was making a right turn and I did stop for a brief second. But then it said on the letter that I can actually watch a video of myself...so much for my plan on telling the judge that I did stop

Goto court, plea guilty and tell the judge you are a poor student, wish to do community service instead of paying, it only cost $30 to sign up for community service. Just make sure you have a friend thats runs a senior center or some charity thing you can do your hours there. It will be done in no time before you know it

that is a load of bs.

when a car makes a left turn at an intersection, it has to turn into the lane corresponding to what lane they are turning from. as in, the left turning cars have to turn into the left lane of the road they are entering.

totally understandable maneuver, leaving work everynight, i always hit this intersection i make a right at just as it turns red, but i don't stop anyway when making me right turn because i know that when that light turns red, the next sequence is left turn arrows for the cross traffic so there is nobody that could move that would be able to hit me.

$361!! holy ****! not to mention what it could do to your insurance!!!

I can see the advantage of getting the bright LED License plate lights that bascially makes your plate look plane white in cameras!

I've swapped LEDs from superbrightleds.com. They look nice, but not too reliable. 2 bulbs have gone out since I did the swap about 6 months ago. The 12 LED sounds like a plan, but will it actually work?

I had to swap out from superbright too, I had half of each "bulb" burn out in like 3 months. I have the 6 LED's and they fit fine, the only diff with the 12, is a lil bit longer. the 12 are closer together.

Nice! Quality looks pretty good, but which one is the 12 LED plate? Where on the site does it allow you to order?
