I think that is a pretty reasonable price for a quality shop to do the install & alignment. You might find cheaper but I don't know if it will be better.

"The shop" in San Bruno. $150 for spring install... wait 2 weeks for springs to settle and get an alignment there for $75. Best deal I could find in my area.

Spring install is a pretty damn installation... I know you can rent spring compressors, but an impact gun with the right sockets needed?

The Shop! (Google is your friend.)

http://theshopsanbruno.com/

I went to Gabe (Stylis) at Precision Muffler (Milpitas), next to Auto Innovations for my spring install; then next door for the alignment. Great service from everybody! $210 total for spring install & alignment on my '08 xB.

AI quoted you 280 for the install and alignment? Thats a good deal. I would recommend having them do the installation if they have done work for you before. They also have the best alignment rack around.

Save your self some time and messed up knuckles. They can have all of it done in about 3 hours, Alignment and all.
