I was wondering if there is anyone who can help me out with my short shifter? I don't own a dremel and I can't get the locking washer off the side of the housing! Any advice or just help? lol Thanks!

That would work if the washer wasn't flush against the side of the housing. I saw some posts that said to use a dremel, but I don't have one. Some others said it will come off with a flat head screw driver and a little time, but I've been at it for over an hour now with no luck.

after looking at how the housing is built they really intended that thing to stay in huh.

 

When I installed mine, I had to use a Dremel. Luckily, you can buy replacement washers at most hardware stores.

 

Yeah they really don't want that thing comin off. I got it though, I even saved the washer so I could re-use it, I was pretty sure I was gonna break the thing. Thanks everybody!
