Serious? SWEET!! I have an Android phone....will have to download and try the app out.

All i can find are Push to Talk apps, none that actually operate off of FRS walkie talkie frequencies....?

No, none of the "cellphone apps" change the cellphones' operating frequencies to FRS/GMRS frequencies. The apps only allow walkie-talkie-like operation between similarly equipped cell phones.

Kelso group will be leaving a little bit later and will meet the Star Lake group on the freeway around Seattle. Figure that is where the traffic will get backed up and we will be either right behind you or right in front of you, lol. So, don't wait for us, we'll see you along the way or at the Smoky Point meetup.

Also, attention Annie: Do we need to call in orders ahead of time or place them here?

We're excited for Saturday!

I would recommend anyone wanting to order ahead to CALL the pizza place (360-853-7227) and place your order with a person (not the answering machine) just so there is no confusion. (Although we can confuse ourselves without much trouble.) I'm not always looking online for orders, and they might get lost. The menu is here someplace.

Hoping to meet up with the group somewhere along the way for a little drive at least. PizzaBox loves a parade!!!

Thank you Annie, we can do the same weigh station if you like and you can lead us in, like last year.

That's a good spot to regroup after the myriad of stoplights you've all run through from the freeway.

I'm going to do my best to block out some parking but it's Saturday and busy, so the group might not have as much room all in front like before. It will still be fun!

Sounds good!

As to parking, we'll work something out - don't worry too much about that, Annie.

Actually, the Star Lake Park and Ride is just off I-5 about 20 miles north of Tacoma, but it is a better, more centralized meet-point for more people, and gets things going in the right direction (north) so people don't have to double back.

See you at Star Lake on the 7th!
