Default Anyone around that can do the led swap for xb and tc?

I am looking for someone to do a led color change on my xb and the wife's tc.

I have to trade a PSP with 2gig memory stick, aftermarket case and charger the movie hostel and a bunch of games including:

starwars battlefront
nfs underground
cars
splinter cell (can't remember which one)
at least 3 more games that I can't remember ( I haven't played it in a while)

If anyone is interested let me know!

I have pretty good soldering skills and I know how to do it... just never done it before. I have a soldier iron, but i was thinking maybe using a cold soldier iron ( dont know if those suck or not)

If you know where to get the LEDs... I'll do mine too... infact we can test them on mine =P

i wouldnt risk using one of those "cold soldering" irons... they basicly just create a short to make the connection.... may fry somthing else...not with heat.. but electricity...

may try them on somthing small like a cheap 15$ walkman but not a 500+$ critical piece of a car

there a bunch of threads about how to do this, I just don't feel comfortable doing it I have basic soldering skills and don't want to screw it up. I added up my psp loot and it's about $600 worth of merchandise, so I think it's a good deal for whomever wants to give it a go.

i see... so cold soldering sucks... thats ok...
I'll do it... that is if kekai doesnt since he agreed first

I'll see if order some LEDs from trung and try it out first

what color are you looking for? white or blue will take some extra steps cuz they run at a lil higher voltage. for the HVAC atleast. I know for the xB they have bulbs for the HVAC

You might see if you can get ahold of Mattvs, he had green on his and it looked very cool! He might be able to provide critical do's and do not's!

neolusions, sweet! I am looking for blue in my xb and I will have to ask the wife what she wants. I have already done the bulb swap and have an aftermarket HU that is already blue in my box, but all the tc will need to be done. Let me know!

Thanks
Doug
