Yeah. The autozone by me rents out springs compressors too for free. Not sure of the pricing tho, but yeah, pretty cool if you know what you're doing.

Funny, over in the first gen XB forum, there's a new post titled "stupid autozone". Can't beat the free tools though.

NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!! DONT BE FOOLED!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought the same thing when i did my first suspension set up on the tC. the fronts where done in 45 minutes tops... the rears took me 4 1/2 HOURS! the fronts lul you into a false sense of security then the rears screw you. its even worse if you are changing struts at the same time... dont do it if you dont know what you are doing. you could be there a while and once you go forward... no one can help you... it just sucks.

Not doing the springs on a tC........doing them on a yaris which is identical to the 1st gen xB........

tC springs are a pain the the back to do as you have to disassemble half the rear interior........once you tear it out a few times you can do it in under 10minutes and drop the springs in 30.........

I don't think I can count on my fingers and toes how many times Erik has done springs for a tC since we've been together, and I know he did tons before then too. he's such a silly man.

I look at it this way.........it is a machine.........I can take it apart and put it back together.........and while doing it I can enjoy a refreshing malt beverage..........plus I have Brad with me so between the two of us and the internet we should be able to drink at least 4 beers and change 4 springs........

If its the same as the xB its really simple, pop the rear shocks off @ the bottom push the rear wheels down and the springs just fall out! Fronts are just straight forward normal stuts...just remember to cut and put the bumpstops back in, and to put all the washers/ pieces back in the correct order as they came off (first time I had to re-do one twice to get it right ). Should go pretty quick just a couple hours!
