You are correct!, this option HAS TO BE connected in order to work...

 

I recommend connecting it to the option when the radio turns on only... Try that and see if it turns on...

I will pull the head unit and try it tomorrow.
Sucks that its not even mentioned in the install instructions.
I am not an audiophile so I thought the remote start option wires had to do with the "remote vehicle start option" from Toyota. Subwoofer is a new thing for me

No problem... Only reason why I know so much about this sub setup is because I had to do a custom harness for my 08 tC and I have a aftermarket Kenwood Radio... Glad I could help, keep us updated if it works out...

 

^^ nice... didnt even think of remote wire hook up...figured it was all built in to the harness since its fact option good call

now steve can bump along w/the rest of us :D

Glad you got it working. I also assumed it was all built into the harness. At least Metal knew the anwser. Now crank it up buddy and make your neighbors hate you...lol
