Default Bungee Jump April 7 2007

Okay folks.. Something new and different (for some)
http://www.bungee.com/bzapp/bungee_masters/bridge.html
The date is set with the company, so April 7th is leap day.

Bungee jump
So far

1. Todd--- Confirmed
2. Dustin----(tentative)
3. Larthology----Confimed
4. Mo--Confirmed
5 CoreyAnn--Confirmed
6. Jennifer (tikigirl)--- Confirmed
7.You?

Criteria:
Minimum weight: 90 lbs.
Maximum weight: 340 lbs.
Body harness jumps only, no ankle jumps available.
One jump $75.00 +tax.
Two jumps $99.00+tax (optional 3rd jump for another $25.00).

Jumping Starts @ 11:00 in the morning.

I've done three jumps with these folks. They have been in business for a bunch of years with no losses ( ). They have a redundant safety system with two people who check harnesses, so this is as safe as it gets.

It's a bridge jump over a (probably very cold) creek. If I remember correctly, it's something like a 75' drop. Pretty short in the scheme of things.

All we need is 5 definate confirmed jumpers to get this going... Who's In?
These need to be definate confirmations. We will be locked into it once we have 5 folks confirmed.

45 minutes from Portland (approx)
3 hours from Seattle (approx)

Directions:

FROM SEATTLE --
1.From Seattle take I-5 South to exit # 21 (Woodland, WA).

2.The road will parallel the freeway south for approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile (this is Pacific Ave).

3.As you approach the first light, turn left (east) at the light crossing under I-5 and crossing Atlantic Ave.

4.Important: After having crossed under the freeway, take your first (legal) right onto CC Street (before the ARCO station).

5.You will immediately cross a bridge over the Lewis River, bear left coming off the bridge onto Hayes Road and follow the road (this road will become Cedar Creek Road just a few miles out of Woodland) toward Amboy, WA (approximately 15 miles).

6.DO NOT turn into Amboy (on NE 221st & Cedar Cr. Rd.) but continue on road toward Chelatchie Prairie Store & Gas (approximately 3.5 to 4 miles past the turn for Amboy).

7.Turn right at the Chelatchie Prairie Store (Texaco gas station) onto Healy Rd.

8.Follow Healy Rd toward Tum Tum Mt. for approximately 2.2 to 2.3 miles.

9.At the base of Tum Tum Mt. (Clear-cut pyramid shaped butte on your right). Look for a post on the left-hand side of the road topped with a red highway cone. (BUNGEE is written on the post and on the gate).

10.Behind the post you will see our big black gate, our bridge is 1/4 mile down the road from the gate. The right side of gate will be unlocked during our jumps.

11.After driving down our private road park your vehicle before crossing the bridge.
*Please remember to BRING CASH! We do not have a credit card terminal at the bungee bridge.

FROM PORTLAND
1.Follow I-205 North cross the Columbia River into Washington.

2.Take exit #30B (Hwy 500 East). Then immediately head north on Hwy 503 toward Battleground, WA. (Do not turn into Battleground)

3.Continue north past Battleground for 12 miles to Amboy.

4.As you drive through Amboy you will see a State of Washington Hwy sign next to the school, the sign reads Cougar North 503.

5.Follow the 503 Highway signs. Approximately 4 miles from the sign in Amboy you will come to a TEXACO (Chelatchie Prairie Store & Gas).

6.Turn right at the Chelatchie Prairie Store (Texaco) onto Healy Rd.

7.Follow Healy Rd. toward Tum Tum Mt for approximately 2.2 to 2.3 miles.

8.At the base of Tum Tum Mt. (Clear-cut pyramid shaped butte on your right). Look for a post on the left-hand side of the road topped with a red highway cone. (BUNGEE is written on the post and on the gate).

9.Behind the post you will see our big black gate, our bridge is 1/4 mile down the road from the gate. The right side of gate will be unlocked during our jumps.

10.After driving down our private road park your vehicle before crossing the bridge.
*Please remember to BRING CASH! We do not have a credit card terminal at the bungee bridge.

sounds like fun, but, not my cup of tea, would love to come watch if this is possible. I don't jump out of prefectly good airplanes, nor do I jump off of perfectly good bridges, lol.

Oh, I meant "me too" as in "I'd like to see my husband fall to his possible death". There ain't a chance I would bungee jump. Oh hell no.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does it not seem that the warden gave me permission to do this?

If she did, I am definitely on board.

Note to Jenna: Eddie called about a policy today.
