Car is OOC
OOC (out of commission). The box is down for a few weeks, need some work done. Anybody wanna help, I just need some help with the accessory belts. The rest of the work I am doing right now, but getting tired of working on my car alone lol..

Try from either side...even if you are only getting a quarter turn it will eventually come. Why are you taking the altetnator off? If you are just replacing belts, there should be tensioner that you will have take the pressure off to get the belt off instead of taking off the alternator.

the alt is a pain in the ****... took forever to get mine off (had to replace the pully on it for the s/c) 1 bolt was easy.. 2nd bolt on the bottom was a pain... barely enuff room to get the socket on it let alone bust it free...

use a breaker bar (if you can get one in there).
Kanchi is right, there should be a tensioner piece to release to get the belt off, no need to remove the entire alternator to change the belt

Hey man, sorry had an appointment today or I would've come to help too. Budget or Triple-A Auto Wrecking (can't remember which one) had a 2006 xB mostly complete about a month ago, hit them up ;) -Jester
