There appear to be some major changes at SE they URL is changed for the website (a problem for those of us that printed a lot of fliers with the old URL) and apparently the club logo is being changed.

Any way our "Liasons" could keep us informed of this kind of stuff?

Hey now... I just found out last night there were changes on the way.... and found out this morning that one of them involved a new web addy.... I found rumors of a special NATION wide meeting we're supposed to have in another regions forums... wrote the higher ups and only got word thursday AM of some of the changes

tho shortly we liasons should be recieving a box with new goodies, mission statement etc... so once we get the box.... we'll plan a meeting out and share the info..... not sure if Kelly is getting one mailed to him or not... the box coming to me has an eta of monday

I'd gladly keep all informed of changes and stuff.... but can only pass on info thats been passed on to me....
i've been goin around changing links in past posts/sigs etc to reflect the new addy

not sure how long the old SE page will have the re-direct up but figure should be good for a few days... or more..

 

gee, it would be nice if the liaisons even had the information.... I found about it all from Kekai. Please dont blame us, we all have flyers printed up with the wrong address now too. There is a redirect but I'm not sure how long it will be up there.

 

I like the new changes at SE. New is good!

 

Man, a whole new logo to? That is crazy. There should be a little more info heading down the pipes though....

yeah.. i heard about the logo change weeks ago (nilo told me himself)... i'm waiting on my business cards because of it.... was wondering when they were gonna implement all that

change is good.

I am not saying change is a bad thing, change with out notice is annoying and rude.

They just need to make a notification list.....like the military when it is deployment time........each person notifies the next on the list and so on.....

Too bad about all the printed materials, flyers, cards, signs, shirts, vinyl, and such.

 

yeah... kinda sux..... ugghh... back to the proverbial drawing board

 

All the liasons / contacts were supposed to be emailed or called.
The changes were supposed to occur nationwide (plus Puerto Rico) this sunday but the move to the new website went smoother than expected and way ahead of schedule.

In regards to the old printed materials, the club and chapters that have these items can still use them.

It is only for new materials from now on that would need to use the new logo.

I know changes are sudden and the boards have very good reason to do so .... we are still the same club and a logo does not define who we are and what we accomplished and what we striving do to.

We are extremely proud of all the chapter liasons/ co-liasons and members for their hard work and support and I guarantee you in no time people will recognize our new logo.

The old logo will be a reminder of all our success and the new one is going to be the one that will take us to the next level.....

 

Hmmm not feelin the new logo. The old logo rocked and it is printed on so many things. Seems like the logo on the web site is suffering from the jaggies around the edges too.

I think where things need to be changed is the signup process. It could be automated and that would increase membership and make things easier on the people that have to manually process the applications.

I am not complaining without offering consultation so if they powers that be want some free web consultation have them contact me.

Ok... I gots more info on some of the changes, flyers, bylaws etc.... was supposed to get a box of stuff monday but looks like delievery was delayed due to a print shop delay in some of the items to be sent. So previous eta was Monday.. figure now will be Wednesday at the earliest

Will need to have a SE business meeting or 2 in the upcoming week or so... maybe 1 at kitsap since its mostly SE members there anyways, then another somewhere else?? maybe have an oldschool m&g somewhere at southcenter or something...
anyways Stay tuned for a meeting shortly this will be a required meeting for all SE members, if for some reason you wont be able to make it please let myself or Dustin (Ohcanada_00) know and we'll arrange to get you covered on the new info.

 

I appreciate you keeping us up to date as to the changes kkawana. Sucks to be outta the loop but held responsible for not knowing..
