I just hope that Houston has some decent food in the 'secure' area of the terminal so I don't have to go out of it to eat and then fight my way back through security to get to my next flight.

In this case, the 'travel' portion of the trip looks to be much less fun than the 'destination' portion - especially since for me it is all on 737's. 737 is a good, reliable plane, but a PITA for passengers on long flights.

My flight info says that food is available for sale. WTH? I have to pay for my food on the plane?

As for my/our stop in Chicago, we only have an hour. With my many past experiences with that blasted airport, that's just enough time to get from point A to point B. If the flight from Seattle is delayed at all, we'll be running our butts off to get to the connecting flight.

Chicago seems to have a lot of good places to grab a snack at in the security areas. I just have NEVER had enough time to facilitate one yet. I guess I might have to spend the small fortune for the crap AA airline food.

yeah.. most airlines now dont offer inflight meals as part of airfare... unless its over a certain flight time... which apparently is longer than 5-5.5 hrs (trip to hawaii) they offered a couple different packs of food... some sort of sandwhich meal or a snack meal... like 4-5$ each.... plus $3 for head sets(just bring a cheap set of regular walkman style headphones and your good to go)

plus side is they still dont charge for soda/coffee/juice... booze is still a $$ getter tho

Must a really new thing or only on certain carriers now, eh? Then again... who did I fly with coming home from Chicago to home last July? I didn't get any food on that flight when I usually always did in the past. I chalked it up to being a really, really late flight. They didn't even offer though.

We ought to get seats next to each other and all bring food to share like a potluck.

...I wonder if TSA will let food through - right now they won't even let through a never opened soft drink.

Everyday like a mardi gras everybody party all day
No work all play okay
So we sip a little something lay to rest the spill
Me an charlie at the bar runnin up a high bill
Nothin less than ill when we dress to kill
Everytime the ladies pass they be like hi will
Can yall feel me all ages and races
Real sweet faces
Every different nation spanish hatian indian jamaican
Black white cuban and asian
I only came for two days of playing
But everytime I come I always wind up stayin
This the type of town I could spend a few days in
Miami the city that keeps the roof blazin

Chorus

Party in the city where the heat is on
All night on the beach till the break of dawn
Welcome to miami
Buenvenidos a miami
Bouncin in the club where the heat is on
All night on the beach till the break of dawn
Im goin to miami
Welcome to miami

Verse 2

Yo I heard the rainstorms aint nothin to mess with
But I cant feel a drip on the strip its a trip
Ladies half dressed fully equipped
And they be screamin out will we loved your last hit
So Im thinkin ima scoot me somethin hot
In this south sea merengue melting pot
Hottest club in the city and its right on the beach
Temperature get to ya its about to reach
Five hundred degrees
In the carribean seas with the hot mommies
Screamin aii poppy
Everytime I come to town they be spottin me
In the drop bentley aint no stoppin me
So cash in your door
We flow to this fashion show
Pound for pound anywhere you go
Yo aint no city in the world like this
An if you ask how I know I gots ta feed the film

Chorus

Verse 3

Dont get me wrong shytown got it goin on
An new york is the city that we know dont sleep
An we all know that l a and philly stay jiggy
But on the sneak miami bringin heat for real
Yall dont understand
I never seen so many dominican women with cinnimon tans
Mierda this is the plan
Take a walk on the beach draw a heart in the sand
Gimmie your hand
Damn you look sexy
Lets go to my yacht in the west keys
Ride my jetskis loungin in the palm trees
Cause you gotta have cheese for the summerhouse piece on southbeach
Water so clear you can see to the bottom
Hundred thousand dollar cars eybody got em
Aint no surprise in the club to see sly stallone

TSA will let food through...just not drinks. I stopped at a drive thru and carried Jack & The Box through security last month.

And...if you can buy drinks/snacks once past security and can take those on the plane as well. That means Starbucks is okay to take versus the soda with the biological hazard called ice that they serve on the airlines.

And, yes Jenna, most carriers don't offer food for free with the ticket. They have cut things down to be on par with the "value" carriers. At this point in time airlines make 40% of their revenue from business/first class (which is a growing market) and they have to cut corners in coach to make it financially feasible (according to them) because there is such a small margin.

Perhaps they should rename 'coach' to 'steerage'...

Brief update on current "coach" class:

(I used to enjoy flying a lot more.)
