You can set them up for drift well too.... I've got a few websites I'm browsing and parts I'm looking at now.... I'm wanting the full silver aluminum chassis components... they make EVERYTHING for this little sucker...
Oh, and I'm getting the lithium polymer packs (Which are what cell phone batteries are) and found an awesome site for custom wind motors and such, along with all the aluminum pieces and bearing upgrades...
GPM seems to be a great alloy part manufacturer and I'm shopping around for good prices on them... as they aren't too cheap...
This is another cool site for some hefty mods too...

why will no one listen to me... i have a ridiculously battle scarred xmod... "custom wound" is a nice way of saying i chopped a few winds out of a normal motor and am selling it to you for twice what i paid... and why buy lithium packs when you can use old cell phone batteries. also you gotta think about the heat those "custom wound" motors generate... they will melt the chassis and the batteries... the parts you need to get first are... sealed ball bearings.... the plastic ones are crap and the open ones seize up really quickly... awd conversion... otherwise with extra power you have no controll... and beefed up dogbones (half shafts) those things break like freakin crazy... then start chopping holes in the body to get more air at the motor to cool it and put some lead weight really low in the body so that you have more wieght on the wheels so you can control it...

Oh, I've read up... Plus, I was HUGE into RC10 truck racing back in the day as a teen and know all about heat/motors/bearings/and crappy plastic parts.
The AWD / Dogbones / Battery / Cooling Options are all on my list, along with a merry list of bling items...
Most of the motors I have looked at are ranked and reviewed by some of the super active racers pretty well, and with the correct stacking, my board will be able to effiecient kick out the needed umph... and they should stay cool enough for 10-15 minute runs...
With the alloy replacement for all the plastic components around the motor, I can soak up a little more heat and not worry about too much melting... but it's just running conservative on time and not running the motors too long... the new ball bearing motors with correct lube seem to run well and decently not insanely hot at high speeds.... 60K or so is what I want to run.
no way in hell I'm cutting my baby up... she's a show car!
I want to get all the alloy parts to make it look nifty, I'll add a cooling fan for the baby, but will run the custom lithium polymer packs on the bottom, as they look really clean with the whole chassis.
I'm thinking about buying another kit as well, to go super aggressive and not too bling with... open ceramic bearings, HIGH speed/torque motor/powerplant and super stacked ECU with all wiring switched out... it would be for the nicer days and just for plain jane SPEED, but not taken out a lot, as the open bearings, although much better, are a pain in the butt to keep clean and lubed.... I just want to see how fast I can get one of these suckers... 50 MPH????
