Default The dark clouds over Seattle didn't bring just rain.

They brought bad luck to my poor xB.
At the last M&G just a few days ago some of you saw the ugly paint chip on my rear bumper from some idiot who couldn't parallel park. So just as I was getting over my frustration from that paint chip...CRACK!!

This crap happens. This morning on my way home from work I got stuck behind a semi. I was boxed in and had no free lane to change into. Then finally the lane to my left is free but before I even get the chance to turn my turn signal on, BAM! So much for rock chip repair, this thing is huge. About golf ball size. At least it's not body damage *knock on wood* oh well, the rain is supposed to go away starting today. Hopefully my bad luck goes away with the clouds...

Thats too bad, but it is the curse for the RS4, be glad you have gotten off easy (steve = almost full car re-paint, Bethany = new hatch and door dings, etc)

Just my 2 cents.

A huge majority of trucks out there are missing mud flaps. I always check and if the semi that threw the rock is missing even 1 mud flap I call the company and have them pay for the repair. I have gotten some companies that give me greif, but most end up paying.

ouch, tahts hurt Elbert. I have a nice scratch on my hood from a rock and a small window chip from a different rock, its going to happen if you drive your car. As Roll said, if you know the trucking company, give them a call, submit an insurance claim and name them as the truck you were following when it happened, maybe your insurance will go after them for payment, good luck.

that sucks! I had a similar incident in my old car with teriyaki sauce. I couldn't eat teriyaki for months! But I'm over that now, teriyaki is so yummy!

Maybe if you get a leather upgrade that will help you get over it

This is good info to know. Unfortunately I have no idea the company of the truck. It all happened so quickly and I was nearing my exit. I was too busy being ____ed off that a huge rock just smashed into my car. I don't know if you can tell from the pic, but it smashed pretty low on my windshield. Had it gone just an inch or two lower it would have scraped and dented my hood up fierce. Guess I'd rather pay to replace a windshield than repaint/replace the hood
