Default Favorite/worst christmas carols

So its that time of year again, where you can not get away from that beloved (or in some cases dreaded) Christmas music.

Each year, no matter where you turn there it is playing ever so quietly over the loud speakers. Not quite loud enough to hear it, but still its there and you get that tune stuck in your heard for days to come.

Dashing through the snow, deck the halls, 12 days of christmas just to name a few. How hard is it to create a christmas carol people, even peter from family guy did it. "I've got gifts for you there up in my BUMMMMMM". Its not perfect, but at least its a shot at something new. LOL

Hince, why I do not shop at department stores or go near the mall between thanksgiving and the beginning of January.

So lets hear it Pac North Westerners, what is your favorite/most dreaded christmas carols?

I start work at 6am 4-5 days a week at Sears and Kmart........I have managed to block out the xmas songs that play all day long........the best part is when Jan 1 comes and you realise that they are playing Britney Spears and you are happy to hear her...

LOL, I worked at mervyns for a short time. I would try to get into the stock room to put my ipod in to get away from it. I hated being on the floor because it was the same three songs by three different people over and over and over again.

Please, for the love of god no more Berry White singing the 12 days of christmas.

True, the old ones from when artist actually could sing weren't bad.

Now a days anyone that can carry a tune in a 55 gallon drum is considered a rock star.

Bing Crosby was a great singer.Weird how times have changed as has music. It was so clean and simple way back then.

I wonder if I will be 89 years old and listening to Metallica.

Some of them are pretty funny.. they are parody songs. By Bob Rivers and co.
YEARS ago he was on the east coast. but has been broadcasting in Seattle for the last 20 years or so. He has "regular" twisted tunes (Mostly rock), but he has come out with several xmas cd's too. He also has a yearly xmas party that kzok puts on, and he plays with "Spike and the Impalers" at different venues around western wash.

I enjoy most traditional Christmas music, especially when played on a pipe organ (and recordings of same when played at fuse-blowing volumes).

My least favorite (other than most of the "new" crap) is any version of "Little Drummer Boy."

Break the drum, leave the kid in the woods...
