Thanks...I just didn't know if I was missing something.

Today my body physically & mentally shut down...I realized...after stopping at a green light and not figuring out why people were honking. Got a ride home and then took a long nap to boost my head but still a little "slow".

I'll add 1 hour and call that people need to arrive at Smokey Point by 11:30 to head out by 11:45 am.

Everyone go to the meetup and post up your rsvps! We have people lurking there that are not SLers and they need to know that us cool folks are all going!!!

 

It only takes about an hour from Smokey Point to Concrete, unless you plan to go shopping in Burlington or something. Were people planning to arrive at 1 p.m.?? We were expecting everyone at 2 when we open. (although we could arrive an hour earlier if that is the plan.... since the plans are moving along.)

 

even the best laid plans get kicked back, and I'm sure somewhere along the way we will be delayed for a few mins. here or there, happens to the best of us, lol, and if we get there early then we will get the best parking, lol.

 

I'm sure there will also be bathroom and gas stops...we plan to be there at 2 pm. If we get there early we'll all hang out and enjoy the scenery!

Wait...I forgot...Allie's back in town...and Erik's coming up for this...we may just have a competition yet...but we'll keep it legal for this event because of the # of cars and the slow, casual drive nature of the thing.

But...we should find a track day coming up and talk Matt into taking the Evo out to race the tC crew.

Yes but Allie got her one and only speeding ticket ever so shes behaving herself now.

And Erik is riding in Allies car because Allie really wants to drive her car... and Natalie is riding with us too

 

I might be up for something once I get myself tuned. Running untuned doesn't allow me the full potential of my mods.

I won't lie though, I'd probably suck at it the first couple of times, as I've never purposefully raced the car around a course or on the strip.

The potential is there though. I also won't lie there either. With the same exact modifications, there are drivers who've managed to trap low 12 second quarter miles at the strip.

I've been meaning to look up some performance driving courses, but I between work and, well, work related trips, I haven't been able to find the time.

If I do manage to pull myself out of bed on Sunday to make the drive, I'll keep it as sane as I can :p I do love how my car roars at WOT though...

 

I have a feeling that the Smokey Point rest stop crew are going to have a bit of quality time before any of the rest of you show up.

Heh, at least we'll have bathrooms and if we're lucky, free coffee, lol. Mattross, I still plan on bringing you a white coffee though so don't over do it on the cheap brown stuff.

Ok, so just to make it clear, the meet-up time for the Smokey Point people has bumped up an hour from 12:30 to 11:30? Sounds fine to me.

all right so we bump it back to 11:30am at smokey point, that will give us plenty of time to get everyone there and have a great photo opp and bathroom breaks and the brown coffee swill they provide at the rest stop. Maybe i will stop by and get a couple of those Starbucks coffee carafts thingys to help stay offthe really awfull rest stop stuff.
