Wow ok so talk about feeling like old times……..


Ok so here we go

I would like to try and start the first official Scion Kite Flying contest.


First I am fishing for a date to be held in late June or July when the weather gets nicer.


Here is the premise……..


You can buy or create your own Kite for the contest……. The contest will be held probably at Ocean Shores since that is known for kite weather and great sandy beaches….. it will also be a good point for everyone from Washington and Oregon to attend. We will probably set up a barbeque and there will be prizes for the winners….But most of all it will be great fun for everyone and anyone can come and children are encouraged to participate.

There will be prizes for originality, fly ability, length of time aloft, and height of flight…..

You are encouraged to make yours a Scion kite, so of course there will be the most original Scion kite…..

I am going to look into having T-shirts made for this event….. so right now we are looking for dates and I will start working on the rest including finalizing the location and getting some kind of sponsorships..

Lets start something new and had a blast doing it

Dude I am so in..........we do the Ocean shores thing all the time for a getaway for the day,and love flying our kites there,a group cruise and bbq and kite day would rock.........lets get this planned.

weekends are always better for me - maybe this should be a over night thing - get there on sat & stay the night sat night & hang out on sun too

 

LOL of course I know your answer to this, maybe some of us can meet up on Saturday for a camp out and have the event on Sunday
