Hey all.
Long time no see/chat (although most of you probably haven't been too worried about me)

I've had a lot of various crap going on in my life from the start of a 2nd job combined with a 7 day a week work schedule, to myself and the love of my life getting more serious... I just really honestly truly have very little time left to do meets and what not.

On that same note, I just sent a text message on my phone out to all the people affiliated (whether they still are or not I have no idea) with Scikotics. I'm basically stepping back.
This decision is multi-fold:
*Lots of ideas and encouragement, but very little assistance or participation in trying to get things off the ground.
*People getting mad and leaving the club, but not giving me any indication of what I could do differently to keep them until they're already gone
*My car STILL not being repaired yet
*The above mentioned work schedule
*The above mentioned love life
*My realization of how my time NEEDS to be spent, regardless of what I'd rather DESIRE to be doing at any given time
*Some overall frustrations
*Time demands

No individual is to blame. I took on the second job to better be able to support my household and pay for increased gas prices, insurance, expenses, etc and there just aren't enough hours in the day. (Maybe if I were on mars, right? 30 something hour days I think...???)

But anyway, this isn't like last time where I did the classic Cartman "Screw you guys. I'm goin home" This is more of a "I just don't have time, but maybe I'll see you all around. I just got in over my head, and I finally came to that realization today.

By the way, I have no web access besides that at my work at the current time and access to it here is very limited...

And if someone manages to hang on to some shred of Scikotics and keep it going, I'll happily show whenever I can.

well.. that kinda sux..... tho i do understand why...

despite the politics of it all.... it was kinda nice knowing there was another choice/friendly competition for a "scion only" club...

it is tough to get something started and running w/o the support and input from its members... and there is surprisingly a lot of commitment that it takes to not only be a member but try to run the club. some join for the title only, some join up and run the with the flag and drive it forward to make it bigger/better etc.

as another club chapter "leader"... we've been there... had our rough time.. and luckily have seem to pulled out of it... with the help of our members.

anyways... hope life settles down some and you can squeeze in some time to relax and have some fun... and drop in at an event or 2...

I'm hoping some of the others in the area will step up and fill the void left by you as you embark on other ventures in life. To build upon what Kekai said, while we are over all one big happy family, it was nice to have some 'sibling rivalries' it kept us at the SE front on our toes.

Hopefully, someday your personal life will let you catch up on your free time and you'll get a chance to do what you want to do rather than what you have to do but I commend you for being a big enough person to seperate the two and make the wiser choice as to which path to follow. Its a tough choice I mylsef didnt have the guts to make twice and have only recently put it all behind me.... (stupid credit cards.....grrr)

Congrats on finding someone worth getting serious with. I'm not sure about Scikotics... not a member of anything right now... but it sounds like they're losing a most devoted member and it sounds also like you should be proud of the time and energy you've put forth to that. God knows I couldn't do that.

Good luck with the busy life and I hope you come back someday so I can get to know you or see you at some event when I get my lazy butt in gear and actually go to one (going to the one on Aug 5th though).

I guess I need to know if there is still anyone out there interested in keeping this going.

If we don't have enough members to meet the minimum we will just pull the plug.

 

i know that Sheep took up the VMFIC position.. but havent seen him post up in forever.... and there were a handfull of scikotics to the north and east of seattle..... but i dont see them post up here much..... not sure why....
