Well my cars alignment was so screwed up, i finally decided to go to les schawb to see whats wrong ten minutes later jenn gets a call saying that the whole suspension is F**ked because of the coilovers that were on...HA! i knew the car had coilovers, but moving on.....The tech tells me that the coilovers dont sit right on the car and is making the bushing and everything twist, so far my struts are going out because something is hitting it, the rear shocks have dents. I bet the coilovers were bought from ebay, so after i finished crying because its gonna cost me $600, to finish, i cryed because i finally got out of debt and didnt want to take out anymore loans for sometime not.....Enough of that so i gave in because the tech said that the whole suspension will break real soon, i am glad i knew this before the vegas trip.....Now i am so upset, that i must find the previous owner and slap him senseless for buying cheap probaly a low quality made civic coilovers, damn this day to hell..... even though the 600 i have to pay is going to get the car to vegas and back, i still have a few more things to do when i get back...................

 

TRD sparks has struts for a good price, and if not there is always stuff floating around the classifieds!

 

yeah well i have to wait till after scion united......i need it done now, o well.

 

I am sure you could get a stock set up at a good price, even local!

 

ouch, sorry to hear Michael, but like you said, glad you caught it before driving to Vegas, could've been alot worse. Hmmm, wonder if Chris has his stock setup laying around, some springs, would be good to go.

 

I still have my original springs if that will help?

 

someone must have a stock set of struts and springs you can use for a couple of weeks........I have a slightly shattered windshield you can use to make a greenhouse out of........did I mention it is a JDM part..........LOL

bBonVolks on here had some Tanabe coilover he was asking 500 obo for, just a couple weeks ago. maybe shoot him a PM and see how low he'll go?

right now i am not worried because i am going to replace the whole suspension before i do the air bag sustem, and body kit.......this time the car is gonna be done right. lol

Um, is it me or are tc's alignments easily thrown off? Cuz my friends and I constantly have to get them aligned and speaking for myself only, i drive slow and don't run over ever bump or pothole. Is it just me? Sorry if i stole the purpose of the thread but i think it is related. ty!

 

Not in my experience. Downtown seattle roads suck and i havent had any problems. For awhile i thought my alignment was off but then i realized the people who make the roads in this state are crosseyed or sumthing. Cause all the roads are uneven and bumpy. Plus what is the purpose of WSDOT cause obviously they havent paved any roads in like 20yrs. I thought my tires where just loud as crap and the tc didnt keep out noise very well but its the roads.

UPDATED:

Car comes back from shop and suspension is alot smoother, rides so much better and i am way lower to ground.....i guess he did his research and got me a set of H&R springs, jenn is happy with the way it looks not, and i am good....still waiting of some oem parts from scion should be in monday.....will post pics after scion united....
