Default I'm back, and I'm married!

I've been gone from OR for about 3 weeks, and it feels good to be home. We spent a week in Monterey, CA prior to getting married, then we spent 2 weeks on Kauai for our honeymoon. The wedding was perfect and fun, and way more emotional that I was prepared for. The honeymoon was a perfect blend of relaxation, exploring, and adventuring.
It's good to be home! I'm still getting settled in, but I'll be sure to check the schedule for the next meet & greet.

Welcome to the land of the married.. It's wonderful here...

This will work wonders for any marriage... Every morning for the rest of your life, roll over and tell your wife "I'm sorry"... Now your asking why right?... Your apologizing for being a man.... Believe me.. You'll screw up at some point during the day. ya might as well get the apology out early.

Now pack up the wife and head in for some bowling Saturday.. See the thread for the next PDX meet & greet..

Thanks everyone.
We left about 25 hrs before the quake hit, so we got out just in time. My twin brother flew out to the Big Island on Tuesday - he's doing the Ironman this Sat. Apparently, the course was unaffected by the quake.

Singleshot - Thanks for the tip. I know I'm bound to screw up at some point, so I like your logic.

I'll have to search Dodge Warlock, 'cause I can't picture it in my head. There are a surprising amount of SWEET classic cars here in The Dalles. I'm quite impressed. Of course, there are quite a few classic humans here, too (just based on age) so I guess they just kept their cars. Just kidding.

BTW, the Beetle is my wife's car. She's been driving the Scion lately 'cause it gets better gas milage. I live only a few blocks from work, so I don't really need a car right now. So we thought this would be a good time to get rid of the Beetle. It's a good car, and it's actually pretty fun to drive. (Shhh...don't tell anyone a man just said that about a Beetle. )

Hey derk-xb, I used to spend alot of time in The Dalles when I visited family in Oregon, the lived in a small town called Wamic! Have not been there in years! They all live in Bend now.

there are a lot of ex-VW owners here... Nothing to be ashamed of.... I still have my "how to keep your VW alive" book on the shelf. What year beetle is it?

It's a 2000 "New" Beetle. 2.0L, auto, and just under 80,000mi. Singleshot, I don't think your "how to keep your VW alive" book is focused on the newer models...or is it?
