Default Installed TRD shocks and Hotchkis Sways!

TRD
Hotchkis

Its been a loooooooong awaited project for me, my swaybars have been sitting in my garage for almost 4 months and there ON! I've been searching for the cheapest place to get shocks and I finally found a set of TRD shocks on Ebay for $360. I hopped on that QUICK!! But I jus wanna say that I love the new parts on my tC!

Cornering at 40+ miles and hour with out a sweat! I LOVE IT! haha.. The shocks are great too! I would recommend them to anybody out there with aftermarket springs. I'm dropped on S-Techs and the bouncy ness I felt with my OEM shocks totally went away.

With the TRD shocks in, the car feels more FIRM rather than bouncy. the ride quality is much improved and so has my accelleration. Since the OEM shocks were so soft, when accelerating you'd experience drag because the front would "dip" down then gain traction. But with the new stiffer TRD shocks, the "dip" has been eliminated allowing superb tracktion upon acceleration.

When I got my tC re-aligned I suggested for -1degree of negative camber to increase tracktion upon exiting corners. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE! When the tech. did the allignment he showed me that it was still in the green zone and that tread wouldn't be affected.

BUT YEAH! jus thought i'd share my experiences with you all. Hopefully you guys with similar set ups are enjoying it as well!

KEEP ON MODDING!!

Aftermarket shocks DEFINATELY have an overall performance difference than stock. You should look into getting some if you decide to lower your car. I would've orginally gotten the Tein Basics. Think about it! If you take the retail price of TRD shocks or even the KONI's and add them to a set of springs, they're almost just as much. You can purchase the TEIN Basics for about $750, probably cheaper on Ebay.

Ohh and you wont have to worry about mix and matching parts if you're concerened about those issues.

But yesterday, I was getting on this 180 degree on ramp goin north from Lynnwood. There was a blue bimmer tail gaiting me, I think he wanted to race me, but as I entered the turn, I didn't slow down. And it was bye bye bimmer! hahaha!!!

I really do love the swaybars! These past days driving with them on has made a difference like NIGHT and DAY. I say get em! if you haven't already.

I'm looking forward to installing the gold lines and progressive rear sway. Stock, I'm barely able to keep up in the corners with a stock early 90s 911... Would love to see what it would be like after I get everything done. Of course, once out of the corner, I was left in the dust
