anyone know of any junkyards in portland? i wanna get something off of the tc.

 

Foster's auto wrecking on foster and 118th or so has late model cars. they are the only one's in the area that i know of.

 

is that the u-pull it if so ive heard good things

 

yeah it's a u-pull they also have some parts already pulled. they usually have some sweet cars there ( vipers, m-benz, bmw, porsche, very rare cars to see in a junk yard).

 

ohhhh... so foster and 118. ok i'll be making a trip down there. i think the hardest part now is finding a tc there that isn't stripped already.

 

I do weekly phone calls to B&R auto/Corvallis. They do the parts finder computer search and have always told me who has what (as to what I'm looking for). I guess that didn't say anything did it?.... Find a yard that does this search in your area and they might be able to tell you if someone has a car.

Although I would love to hit this yard you folks are talking about. Strip a couple Lexus parts for future upgrades to the B would be coolio....

If a tC were junked anywhere in P-town, it'd be there most likely.

 

i'm trying to find a gauge cluster and the center console so i can experiment with changing the LEDs. if all goes well, then i'll just sell the one i currently have and put the modified one in. i found one at a junkyard on foster & 111th or so, but they wanted to charge me $150 for it!!! i didn't even bother asking how much the HVAC was.

 

Just so you know for legal reasons, your odometer reading is stored in the gauge cluster.

 

Yeah, I checked out that gauge cluster already hehe! Those are tough to come buy, but the HVAC can be had on Ebay here and there. Honestly, if you can solder, you can do the swap easily. The only hard part is the HVAC LCD panel... it's fragile.

 

oh crap. it is? i thought it was stored in the ecu.

 

and 150 for a cluster aint bad
