Kingdome
With the impending implosion of the Trogan cooling tower coming up this spring, it got my creative juices flowing and I dug out my negs of the Kingdome implosion and had them put on a disk so that I could try to put together a quick 10 pic series of the dome coming down, its a little small, but I can redo if anyone wants it done bigger, hope you enjoy. Oh, yeah, I work right accross the river from Trojan so hopefully I'll have pics of that when it happens.
The Trojan Nuclear Power Plant is located on the Oregon side of the Columbia River just south of the Longview/Kelso area. It has been out of commision since 1992.

Anyone know when the implosion is going to happen? This is the first I've heard of any demolition. I remember taking a tour of the facility in Cub Scouts when I was ten or so years old.
Actually... it wasn't too long after that tour that my third eye started growing. I wonder if there is any connection???

Brian, were you wearing the Nike jacket or the Hard Rock jacket? They were standing on top of a motorhome and were in everyones way, we were asking them to sit down and move the lawn chairs, lol. As you can tell, they ignored us. The scheduled date will be in May as of now, they are hoping for a rainy day to keep the dust down.
