Kitsap gang: got my springs installed! PICS (56k: I dunno)
So I've got my springs sitting at home still in the box. I haven't had time to get them installed; my dad's been away for business and hasn't had time to help me out. Plus I always work weekends, so it's been hard to get time off. All the local shops around here are charging up the butt for labor, and I haven't had time to talk to Heartland for a quote (which I'd imagine would be a lot since it's a dealership).
It might be hard for me to get some time off until we start hiring more people to cover shifts here at work, but I was just curious if anyone wanted to help me get these buggers installed. Nothing set in stone right now, but I was just gathering interest. Yes, I'm aware that most of you guys are all xB drivers (
), so yeah. Anyone?

I'm gonna be pretty busy for the next 2-3 weeks. I'm going to be helping with last minute preparations for the opening of the resort here next to the casino. Right now, I'm on day 4 of a (possible) 12-day work week with no time off, so yeah, I'm gonna be pretty occupied.
Whenever I have a free day (it'll most likely be some Tuesday & Wednesday), I'll definitely give you a call or PM.
Thanks, man! =)

So by a stroke of luck, I didn't have to work after all. I called up Jason and we were free for the rest of the afternoon to get heatstroke and install my springs. I'll have pictures up later tonight or tomorrow morning. Either way, I'm tired. I'm sweating! hahah
I doubt they'd settle by tomorrow, but I'm still gonna show up to the Kitsap M&G so you all can admire our handywork.
Big thanks to Jason for all the harder work. And the muscles. Because I have no idea where I keep mine.
Have fun installing Ladrell's S-Techs. Make sure he uses a box wrench!

Here's a few before pics. After pics will be posted in the morning. Obviously it's not light outside anymore so I can't take/post anything after the drop. Yes, I'm well aware that these are pictures that are pretty similar to anyone who has installed springs, but bare with me. This is still all new and exciting to me.
Before I left for Jason's house to get the springs installed. 80+ degrees outside and humid:

Again, a few more pics in the morning. I gotta do some minor detailing and cleaning up. Let me tell you though, while everyone is saying the TRD springs hardly give a drop, I did the "finger test" and I could only fit two of my skinny child-like fingers in the gap after installing. And this is only a couple hours after installing them. BEFORE they've settled. If that isn't a drop, I don't know what is.

Half the fun was manually turning those spring compressors!
Anyway, here are the after pics:
Outside. About 72 degrees and breezy:

I dunno if these springs will need settling. But I'll take pictures in a week or so anyway.

$140 shipped after random coupons on ebay. New in box. I haven't upgraded the shocks yet. I want to. But that will come later.
Yeah. I know I gave my tC the shocker. hahah it says so above my pictures.

Got LaDrell's S-techs in Sat. am. Looks good. However he says he needs an alignment. It's pulling slightly to the right and the back wheels have a little camber to them. I wonder if there's that much difference between the two drops. We'll have to compare them next week. Unless you guys come out tonight.
I've got some pull to the right on mine, but it's most likely not because of the springs, more than likely from my sway bar. I've got an alignment appointment next week, so it'll probably be corrected by then.
The Drop looks great man. I have TRD's on mine and I'm actually going back to Scion on Friday - I have a lot of sound coming from them. Like they are moving around under there - usually when I go from forward to reverse. Weird
