I left way early around 7pm. It was the worst event I have been to this year.

Please do expand on what happened.

Well someone threw their trophy on the stage ( race dezign's owner), next guy didn't want his trophy. Some dude started yelling about how the show sucked and security was called then a lot more people were talking trash about the show. All in All pretty funny and very disrespectful. There was a group that was behind me that were being very rude and blowing these whistle's when trophy's were being handed out so people were having a hard time hearing the announcements. Very unorganized show and unruly people who want everything and want it for free. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, there is one group that is so incredibly disrespectful, it is disgusting. Scion paid to be a major sponsor, and we had specific parking for Scion owners (as everybody knows, the Region does this at events quite often, and pays lots of money to do that for Scion owners). This particular group decided that it was their space, and some of them were SO rude when we asked them to move. We actually tried to be as nice as possible, and only had them move a couple of cars, but one of the guys was swearing and stomping around about it.

I left before the awards, and I agree with Doug...one of the worst shows I have been to in a VERY long time.

Car shows like that one are what give the whole scene a bad name.

And that is my $.02. Sorry for the vent. Was so upset by the guys who were being so rude...

In defense of the team, they were given direction by the show staff to park there. It should have been ropped off in advance. They were a little miffed only by the fact they were asked to move, then only three (3) Scions filled the spots. It would have angered me...especially if our cars where still there right in the middle of it all.

Michael......did you make it out alright?

Kimmie was/has always been a ringer for the bikini contest. When you rig competitions, including the dB competition......people will get upset.

Sounds like show management handled the situation in all the wrong ways.

It does sound like the show management didn't handle it properly.

But either way it does sound like the people participating could have handled themselves a bit better and with more respect. 3 Scions or not....it was a spot purchased by Scion FOR Scions. So they can get upset all they want...but it doesn't change things. I never understood why people get all worked up over such trivial things...

Still glad we didn't go...bad show management is one thing...but attitudes of others being disrespectful really gets my goat!

X2

As the night went on a couple more scions showed up. I would have been disappointed if I was told I had VIP parking and arrived and didn't have a space because someone with a car other than a Scion was there in the middle of the area. As an adult I am respectful of others it sounds like the people who were asked to move were less than respectful to the Scion reps. I love the Scion brand and will stick up for someone who is willing to go to such lengths as Scion does for it's owners.

I rolled into the show late, but if I in fact did take a scion area parking spot I apologize for that. I parked by my team, but no one mentioned if this was a designated spots only for scions, hopefully I didn't park in the wrong area, I wouldn't want to disrespect anyone like that in any way.

If you rolled in with your Scion (which you did) then you had every right to park where you did.

Dude! don't worry you are good, those were scion only parking spots.
you have a scion... don't you???

just let some of your friends know that what they did was lil disrespectful, i was upset too with the people running the car show but would not do anything to get them upset and start a fight, and putting our nice cars and ourselves on risk by getting hit.

sorry! I am 28 years old, thats how i think.

Wow! I am so glad we did not take the boys to this. They were sleeping as soon as they got in the car from the picnic. My hat is off to all that did attend and help set it up. Sorry it turned out like it did.

This show was intense!! A lot of people made it out before all the police showed and as they were rolling in me and my buddy got stopped by 5 cop cars!! They said for us to shut our cars off and put our hands on the steering wheel or else they'll shoot us. After they searched my whole entire car, they were pretty much yelling at me the whole time saying if I was involved in the fight. I said no and then they said I could go! wtf! Glad everyone made it out of there! I was scared for your car mike when the fight broke out. Glad you moved it in time!

The more I hear about this show, the more I know that I will never attend it. Just another way to make the import scene look bad in the eyes of the police and general public.
