Scion will be providing round trip tickets from our closest big airport (SEA and PDX for most of us) to Miami Beach, two days accomodation in the Miami Beach area, local transportation to/from the event and party, and admission to the event and party. I do not knowyet if they will be providing meals, or if that is on us.

My big question at this point is: Will those of us who want to, be able to extend our stay a few days, at our expense.

Since we will already be 3300 miles away, it would seem a shame to waste being in Florida by not being able to have at least a day or two free time to explore.

All it would take from Scion is to allow us to delay our return flight, and let us know where they will be putting us up early enough so we can reserve another day or so.

At this point, I don't even know for sure who's cage to rattle, but I'm betting that Darren might know...

Hmmmmmmm...

Tomas, find that cage and let us know! I'll help rattle it!

All I want is just one more day there. I must find that blue water and put my toes in it! I'm getting depressed, thinking that I'll be right freaking there and probably won't be able to see it!

There has to be enough "free" time that you would be able to take a taxi and hit the beach.

dugzilla... I'm not so sure. the 14th will be spent flying. If we have 2 layovers, it'd be 12 of travel time. 1 layover, 9-10 hours travel time. So that day is out. The 15th is when the events are. I'm praying they don't start until later in the day! Then on the 16th, there's the whole flying thing again.

I sure hope we get good tickets and no layovers. That'd make it a 6 hour flight and open up some more possibities of beach time!

When I went to Phoenix on Scion, it was land, had transportation waiting for me, go to motel(Arizona Biltmore, nothing but the best),had a couple of hours to relax, met up with the other three that won also, cocktail party, dinner, fashion show, after party, next morning, continental b-fast, golf, dinner and awards show, then music by Grand Master Flash, head back home the next morning, they will keep you busy but will treat you very well.

Thing is, letting us delay our return flight and stay a couple of days extra won't cost them anything, and will potentially make a lot of folks very happy - good PR.

Saying "absolutely not" and not letting us do it will potentially make a lot of folks un-happy - bad PR.

The right choice is to say yes, and take that extra step to smooth the way.

(In any case I hope we get fairly early flights from out here on the left coast - be nice to actually arrive on the 14th )

Seems like the guy from PA that went to Phoenix was able to extend his stay by a week because his parents and g/f were flying in meet up with him, but I could be mistaken.

With luck that would get you there about noon, Dustin, not too bad at all.

Of course you'd have to be at SEA around 11PM on the 13th...

(It used to be a Hell of a lot easier to fly, and in reality no less safe than it is now. )

Congratz to the winners so far ... And to let you know the Miami Beach convention center is very close to the beach. If indeed you are staying near the convention center, hotels are on the beach strip ... therefore getting your toes in the sand and water will be very easy ...

GL on extending your tickets, its a beautiful part of our city and we will welcome your arrival ..

Laterz ..

Thanks, Ivan! :D

Maybe you'll get a chance to meet a bunch of us, and us you while we are there. Be neat to see your classy box, too - I'm betting the pics don't do it justice.

I'm sure you will .. the revamped box will be on display there and I will not be far from it, so chances are good that I will shake a thousand hands that evening. Congratz, and I personally can't wait for this show ...
