hey guys, i haven't used my heater in my car for quite a while, and with my new job im often in my car before it gets warm out, the other day i tried to turn the **** to turn the temperature up and it will only let me select a temperature in the white region, if try to adjust it to hot or cold, it just bounces back, like its spring loaded....

now im assuming this is an issue with the cable that attaches to the **** as i know that its a mechanical switch on the xb, my question is, does any one know if there is a common point where the cable might get hung up or kinked under the dash that might be causing this, or if there is something else i should be checking......im sure i could tear my dash apart trying to find it, but im trying to avoid doing this.....

have you had it apart at all for mods?

 

^was my first thought. Also does you car park outside? Have any problems with mice or things coming out of your vents?

 

only taken the center facia off for stereo install and to change the color of the led's, but thats all been working for years, havent been in there recently....the couple weeks ago i was in there cause my hd radio stopped working(cable disconnected), so i pulled it all out last night when i got home to see if that would fix the heater issue.....but yes, i do park it outside and no i haven't had any problems with animals
