We recently sold our '98 Civic, and were car shopping. I was thinking about getting another Yaris, since I love mine. We also looked at VW Jettas, Kia Rios, new Civics and Fits, too. However, we really wanted AWD (and to stay under $15K). We ended up getting an '09 Suzuki SX4 AWD with a 5-speed. We got a smokin' deal on it through Vancouver Suzuki. I've wanted one since they've come out. We're now a dual-subcompact family--and we can make it through the snowy mountain passes, too. This one's probably going to stay stock ... maybe.

 

very nice.........i 4x4 the Yaris all winter and it took everything I tossed at it....even high centering on the packed ice......lol

I saw one a couple weeks ago, almost lava colored, and was thinking, what car is that? then i saw what it was and was really impressed. I like them. How's it perform?

 

Pretty well. It's 143 hp but it's AWD. It's no rocket ship, but it does okay for what it is. I love the ride and it handles pretty well for having 205/60/16 tires, too.

Mine does not have the navi, which is fine by me. I can buy a Tom Tom for $200 at BestBuy. :-)

All FWD SX4s come with Navi standard, though. It's an option on AWD variants.
